Issue with source tool
Wanted to let you know that the tool you used on Frederick E. Olmsted today is not working correctly. It is "rescuing" and adding archive details to citations are are active, including those from Google Books. Clearly, this is not a tool that can be used without a review of the changes it makes. There is no need for a Wayback version of a Google Book and it is not even capturing the correct page with the archived version. These are worthless updates. Rape of Lucrezia hook
Probably best to put that comment on Wikipedia talk:Did you know if the nomination page is already closed. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 07:28, 25 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Jo-Jo Eumerus: Thank you for the message. I did not feel strongly about it. I am sure it will get looked at in the prep set and a queue promotor will see the comment when they do their checks. I often put the comment in the nomination prior to promotion so others can see my thought process. I hope you have a happy holiday season and a happy new year. Bruxton (talk) 14:54, 25 December 2023 (UTC)
FYI
You may be aware that I normally look towards the oldest hooks in the approved pile to fill prep sets; I am involved with the two currently oldest nominations (the Global Engagement Center and the New Zealand MPs), so you or someone else will need to promote them. Many thanks, ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 16:58, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
- @AirshipJungleman29: Thanks for the message. I will check that out this afternoon. I promoted your Khan article, and skipped the image because it had previously run - It looks like you spent considerable effort on the article. You added 58,699 of the 107,478 bytes. If you have time please check out Muppet Theory for promotion - Valereee and I looked it over. Bruxton (talk) 17:05, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
