User talk:Brandinian
Hello, welcome to Wikipedia! It seems I'm the first person to leave you a message, so I guess I'll show you the ropes:
- First off, it's considered a good idea to leave edit summarys when you edit, that way when someone looks through the page's history they know who did what and when, and in some cases you can use it to explain why you made a certian change.
- When posting to talk pages and other discussions, make sure to sign your posts by typing four tides after them (~~~~). On that note, you can also just insert your username with a link to your user page by typing three tildes, it's not required to do that but it does come in handy.
- Finally here are some useful links to learn even more about how things work here:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- Merging, redirecting, and renaming pages
- If you're ready for the complete list of Wikipedia documentation, there's also Wikipedia:Topical index.
That might seem like alot to read through, but you don't have to read it all now, but those links might come in handy later on.
I hope you continue to edit here and of course join WikiProject Maryland by adding your name under the participants section, which, like I said before you can just do with three tildes (~~~). If you have any questions, you can ask me on my talk page and I'll be glad to answer them.-Jeff (talk) 02:09, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Schucks Road
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Schucks Road requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 23:32, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
