Hey
[edit]I am just starting to roll along as a wikipedian. I plan to be heavily involved in the Wikiproject:College Football. Just leave any questions, comments, or death threats here and I will answer them. Bornagain4
- Hello, welcome to the college football project! As I mention on the project talk page, I think we need to agree on some standards before we start splitting out pages. Please see the project talk page for discussion and to share your views. Thanks! Johntex\talk 20:38, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Welcome
[edit]Thank you for your message on my talk page and welcome to Wikipedia. I'm glad you have joined our new college football project.
I would agree with what Johntex said above - it's probably not a good idea to split things without some consideration in there. If there is an athletics article where the football section has grown too large or where its presence in the athletics article is inhibiting further expansion, that's the time to split. Ideally, all of the school football sections will get there eventually. If it's a page where there are people actively contributing, it really needs to be discussed on the talk page before any action is taken ... that way, revert wars are avoided. Tony Hinkle and football
[edit]I noticed you put the {{WikiProject College football}} tag on Talk:Tony Hinkle. While Hinkle did coach football and baseball for a time at Butler, he fame comes from his many years as a successful basketball coach. As a football or baseball coach, his acheivements were quite minor, and you would be hard pressed to find any record of them. Thanks. --rogerd 22:45, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
Template
[edit]I created this template.
Maintenance
[edit]To make the maintenance links work, you need to add a subpage to your user directory, like this one: User:TheMile/maintenance
Keep in mind, they might not be widely used anyway; I might remove myself eventually. See the discussion here: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_College_football#Standard format for season pages. TheMile 02:19, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi
[edit]Well, it's nice to meet you - and thanks for letting me know about WP:NARNIA. I've done several edits in the past with with Narnia, as you know, and have some minor (learn-as-you-go) experience with various templates. My primary focus will continue to be on WikiProject U.S. Supreme Court cases, but I'll certainly be glad to help out with Narnia, as I can. :) Ah, if only I had enough time to join the Middle-earth and Harry Potter WikiProjects as well, but that's life, I guess.
By the way, as I'm sure you've already guessed from my user name, I am also a born-again Christian. :) Lots of us around Wikipedia if you know where to look.
Anyway, thanks again for letting me know about the Narnia WikiProject. --Tim4christ17 02:36, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Narnia Userbox
[edit]Take a look at User:Tim4christ17/Template:Narnia character and User:Tim4christ17/Template:NarniaColor. You can see them previewed at User:Tim4christ17/Template Test. They are still works in progress, but I should have them finished sometime today. --Tim4christ17 21:01, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- I've finished work on the Userbox for now - it's in the two templates listed above - let me know what you think. The remaining three colors (Unused 1, 2, and 3) can be used for something else or just removed from the template. Let me know what you think about that
- Also, the colors themselves should probably be changed a little to avoid duplication with the Stargate userboxes. I don't know anything about those hexadecimal colors, so I'm going to leave them for now, but if someone wants to change them, he can go ahead. --Tim4christ17 23:42, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks - I've just put the templates on the WikiProject Narnia main page...going to transfer the information from my Userspace there now. I'll wait for a few comments before implementing it in any articles, though. --Tim4christ17 23:51, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- I've just moved the templates to {{Narnia character}} and {{NarniaColor}} respectively. And feel free to try out the templates using my Template Test area --Tim4christ17 00:04, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- I don't know...we don't want to get a list of all the books the character's been in, do we? --Tim4christ17 00:09, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- Peter's in 3 books (major character in 2), and if I remember correctly - and Reepicheep's in 4 (though only a major character in 2). Hmm...I guess we could do that afterall... I'll change it and see how it works. We can always change it back if it doesn't work out. --Tim4christ17 00:15, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- Could you stop using the sample for just a second? I seem to have made a minor mistake when I was editing the template and need to find it. Thanks --Tim4christ17 00:25, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- Error's fixed. :) Now the template can handle both multiple family members and multiple books/movies. :) --Tim4christ17 00:29, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- I'm afraid I don't know what the problem is...the bar scales out properly when there's a picture in it....but in Zipacna (Stargate) that one works just fine without a picture - and I have no idea which difference between the original Stargate template and the modified Narnia template would account for the problems in Trumpkin. :( --Tim4christ17 05:41, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Weird...
[edit]Regarding your noticing that I had edited an article relating to the Chronicles of Narnia, I actually have no recollection of doing so, nor is there any record of it on my "my contributions" page. I am a great fan of Lewis (although recently I've read more of his theological works than I have Narnia), but I actually read articles much more than I edit them (I generally don't do much more than correcting typo's I find and commenting on talk pages). Thanks for invitation to Narnia Wikiproject
[edit]I'm currently reading the books for the third time so I think that I'm familiar with the subject :) But there is a little problem - I'm reading them in Polish so sometimes I can mispronounce names of characters and/or places (because they are a little bit different in Polish translation). I will generally try to improve existing articles with adding more information to them. May the Lord bless You.
Migatu 21:28, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
I'll do it - but Polish Wikipedia is far more deletionist than english - so it will be long and painfull process.... :) But we have some Narnia related articles - so I know where to start :) Migatu 07:15, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
The Seven Great Lords of Narnia
[edit]Hello,
Just added the The Seven Great Lords of Narnia page as a reult of typing it all out under the Dawn Treader page and realising it didn't really fit there. Is there anyway of tagging up the talk page with something along the lines of 'if you have a page that might want to link to this information, here it is'? I'm going to have a look around the Voyage of The Dawn Treader and the List of Characters in Narnia pages anyway, but a group effort might spread a bit further... drop me a message if you've any ideas!

A tag has been placed on List of Football League Champions, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Realkyhick 22:21, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

I am writing you because you are one of the leaders in edit count at Michigan Wolverines. Do you understand the code for infobox jerseys and know the details of the Michigan color schemes? 1997 Michigan Wolverines football team
[edit]I am contacting you based on your extensive involvment in Michigan Wolverines. I have beefed up 1997 Michigan Wolverines football team. It could use some feedback at Wikipedia:Peer review/1997 Michigan Wolverines football team/archive1. Also, I had trouble finding game details for the Little Brown Jug game. I hope to take this to WP:FAC so if you get a chance this is one of the more important articles that you might be able to help out.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:17, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

The article Community Baptist Christian School has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
fails GNG
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:01, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
