Ajilimójili

[edit]

The page Ajilimójili, which you created, combines a dictionary-style definition with a recipe-style description, both things that Wikipedia is not. If the page can be made encyclopedic, expanded, and supported with reliable sources, it may be appropriate for Wikipedia. Otherwise, it may need to be deleted. Cnilep (talk) 15:41, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Ajilimójili has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Combines a dictionary-style definition with a recipe-style description, both things that Wikipedia is not.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Cnilep (talk) 15:15, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Puerto Rican cuisine, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Mavi and Cocorico (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Guanime requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. PamD 15:00, 17 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dominican Fried Salami moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Dominican Fried Salami, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! North America1000 06:19, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I have reverted your edits at the above article for lack of citations. Please know that when adding content, editors also need to be aware that they cannot attribute newly added content just before existing reference cites, unless the existing reference cites actually supports the added content. Mercy11 (talk) 04:58, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure you had a chance to read my message above from yesterday, but it addressed precisely about not doing what you just did again: entering uncited claims in the Puerto Rican cuisine article. You are failing to comply with the WP policy on Verification. When you enter information without cites, it cannot be verified by other editors to ensure the content added abides by WP policies. Your content may be correct and, in fact, beneficial to Wikipedia, but unless it can be verified by others it cannot be kept. Please note the WP:Burden to prove that content added complies with WP policies is on the editor adding the content. That would be you. If you have the cites, but do not know how to enter them (format them, etc.), I am willing to help you. You can leave your cites here, and I can check them against the information you are adding to the article, and insert them into the sections you are adding. That way, your edits can be kept which, I am sure, is what you are trying to accomplish. Regards, Mercy11 (talk) 03:18, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
