User talk:Blueapple23
Welcome to this wonderful encyclopedia, Blueapple23! I've been an editor for a while, and I just thought I'd say hi. This is a really great project, and I hope you'll stay! To get you started off on the right foot, I have a few small suggestions of places to check out:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia, our most basic guidelines on how to edit and interact with other editors
- The Manual of Style, some quick pointers on the basic quality standards Wikipedia Articles have
- How to edit an article, a great starting read
- Wikilove, the easiest (and most fun) way to make friends on the 'pedia
- The Sandbox, a place to try editing without actually editing an article
- Finally, my favorite, the Ignore All Rules policy (but ignore them within reason, of course)
- Oh yes, and remember to sign your posts on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~)!
If you need any help at all with anything, don't be afraid to ask me. You can either type "{{helpme}}" right onto your talkpage and then ask your question, or you can ask me on my talkpage.
International Students at the University of Victoria
[edit]Hello Blueapple23. I see from your comment on the discussion page at the University of Victoria that you are interested in international studies.
You can access information on international studies at the University of Victoria through the International & Exchange Student Services department here: http://iess.uvic.ca —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ubermichael (talk • contribs) 18:08, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
The userboxes
[edit]Blue, I don't think it's a good idea to put ubxn on your group page. You should keep them to your userspace. J-ſtanTalkContribs 20:08, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Quimera Festival
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Quimera Festival requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Epeefleche (talk) 17:21, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
