Hi there, I noticed you have an interst in TNE. Watch out for the agenda taking place right now by the Alpha chapter to remove cited and verifiable info. They tend not to like Purdue- which has cited info that you can check for yourself- and they also do not like the whole TNE today section which they are desperately trying to remove- especially the sourced article about them being less like a secret society on campus. No one should allow sourced info to be removed on account that it does not suit the agenda or taste of a certain group. I might suggest that the bad blood you are seeing on the TNE article is being generated primarily by an unreg. user sniping from several IP's into articles about Wesleyan University, TNE, and Middletown, Connecticut who has been previously blocked for similar disruptive behavior (see the IP talk page history [1] as they deleted the block message from the IP talk page). You may wish to report them if it continues and suggest blocks to their primary IP sockpuppets of abuse, 129.133.124.199 and 159.247.3.210 ; see also the talk pages of the articles mentioned above. We just wanted to be recognized under our proper name of Indiana Alpha, our proper founding date of 1882, and our connection to Purdue's own society Skull and Crescent. We don't care where we are recognized as such within the article- and we fully support your interests in adding as much verifiable and cited points as possible. We also appreciate your efforts to make the article more objective and not simply in the interst of the current Alpha group. We believe the TNE section today is a relevant section since there clearly are many issues surround chapters (either alive, sub rosa, or defunct) that are still relevant issues to the nature of TNE as a historical entity. TNE PAGE We are curious? Why was TNE's page altered to even remove your citations when there was no concensus by anyone from our side to do so? What is the block for if Wes Alpha will just revert. Look at their IP' talk pages- they have been running a muck with other Wesleyan related articles- that group is very controlling and problematic across the board. I have been in contact with the Dept. of ED and the Office of Civil Rights to understand more clearly about how Title IX relates to professional fraternities and sororities. To clarify, I removed the word-for-word information, but left the rest. That said, I'm leaning toward removing the information you also added directly under the "history" section as it heavily echoes the official site as well. I actually wasn't using the website to write any of that. Nearly all of the information relating to the early history is from sources that are in the public domain. In fact much of the early history portions on the official website were lifted verbatim from material that was published prior to 1923. As such, copyright does not apply to large portions of that information. That said, I am making an effort to state the information in my own words, as well as bring in additional outside sources. I appreciate your input, and I just wanted to make you aware of the fact that a very significant portion of the material on the official website has been lifted from documents that are now in the public domain...much of which is accumulated in the 1917 handbook that I cited. What's wrong with the public domain status? It was published no later than 1946. This is known because of the postmark date on the postcard. I also just want to note that a scanner is not required, though useful. If you have a scanner with you (or if someone else brings one and you can share), it just means you'll get to spend your time scanning the historical documents. As long as you have a computer, though, you can edit articles related to the theme of the event. The idea here is just to have a fun time while sharing knowledge. :-) Judging from the e-mailed RSVPs, there may be several other people coming who have little to no Wikipedia experience at all, so you might get a chance to do some teaching, too. Lindenwood Lions

Hi BlueGold73,
First, I don't want an edit war and generally agree with the organizational improvements done to Lindenwood Lions. On the subject of club vs. student life: LU doesn't fit the typical club sport model, since they are univ.-supported varsity sports competing in non-NCAA orgs i.e. http://www.teamusa.org/USA-Synchronized-Swimming/Collegiate/Programs-Teams, along with numerous other sources, some refed in the article. Although "club sports" is a generic term, Lindenwood, as well as a growing number of other universities using similar models, tend to use "student life sports". Since Wikipedia is for learning, I'd rather use a name that reflects the distinct univ.-supported model rather than "club sports" which generally reflects the traditional model where the teams are student-run organizations and the students pay-to-play. I'm curious about your reference mentioning a "growing number of other universities using similar models, tend to use "student life sports"". I've been searching for them, and I'm not having much luck finding more than a couple other examples. I've also worked in higher education and athletics at several universities, and the "student life sports" terminology is not commonly used or understood in the industry. If there really are a substantial number of institutions using a "student life sports" model and terminology, then I would understand using the terminology and linking to an article that explains the concept; however, at this point I still strongly believe that "club sports" is the correct terminology for the article. I haven't found enough information regarding other universities using similar models to make me comfortable believing that the "student life sports" terminology isn't just marketing speak used at Lindenwood to refer to their club sports programs that don't compete at the NCAA level and are not subject to NCAA policies and regulations. MIAA enrollments

I have a question for you... why would you change the enrollment numbers from what the University released and/or the Kansas Board of Regents (for the KS schools) to what the Higher Learning Commission says? They were backed with reliable sources, as well. I had updated all of the MIAA articles to match what the universities released in Fall 2014, I even updated KU and K-State. I see no reason as to why you needed to do that. An explanation would be nice, since how you didn't seem to use the edit summary to explain your edits. Most of the early fall 2014 enrollment numbers are not final. The final enrollment totals are reported to the state and the accrediting bodies beginning around late October. Okay, but that is just one source that provides that information. If those numbers are final, then there should be more than just one source to prove that those numbers are correct. I noticed this article when reviewing new pages, and I am concerned that it does not appear to meet the Notability requirements at WP:ORG. The references provide do not appear to include any independent ones that discuss the topic in anything more than a passing mention. I followed the link your referenced, and it states "Most independently accredited degree-awarding institutions and high schools are usually kept except when zero independent sources can be found to prove that the institution actually exists." Based on that statement, a passing mention in an independent source would justify the article because it is more than zero, and it proves the institution actually exists. The line you quote is not from WP:ORG, which is the notability criteria for organizations; it is from WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES, which is a summary of what has commonly happened when such articles have been proposed for deletion - it is not a policy or guideline. Even so, I cannot see any indication that this high school awards degrees, which means it is doubtful it would be treated the same way. So some independent references to show it meets the notability criteria would really help.
