Those socks look garish and comfortable

Having socks that stand out is a perfectly acceptable means of adorning a sandalled foot. It invites style choices to sandal wear that are not otherwise available. Mewnst (talk) 07:59, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Mewnst: I think we should take lessons from MOS:RETAIN here. While some may consider it acceptable, my cultural background would dictate that wearing socks with sandals is – as the youths would say – "pretty cringe", and that is the identifiable variety of fashion sense that I have introduced when I wrote this essay. Perhaps an equivalent to {{Use British English}} should be created to denote this – I'm thinking {{use basic fashion sense}} would be a good title. --Blablubbs (talk) 18:22, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
