An article you recently created, Tsunami (2020 Film, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Cast reordering and run times

[edit]

Please, please, PLEASE stop your disruptive cast reordering as you did here. To date, you have never supplied an adequate rationale as to why you are doing this. Your efforts are disruptive to the project. Further, your changes to runtime figures on movies is nothing short of vandalism. This edit changing the runtime from 190 to 178, when the cite itself is headlined with the 190 value is flat vandalism. Please STOP engaging in these sorts of edits. If you have a reason for performing either the cast reorders or runtime changes, then please state it. Engaging in conversation is the way forward, not continuing to manipulate cast and runtimes without explanation. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 13:51, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok I agree I don’t repeat cast reordering and all. But a humble request that if I create a page can u add sources?? I don’t have any idea about those.... thank you — Bkpsnowman Bkpsnowman (talk) 04:58, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • You say you agree, yet you keep on doing it [1][2]. Why? PLEASE STOP. As to sources, I'm not seeing any for Guru, and your changes to Swapnakoodu do not agree with the movie's official website regarding the lead role. Again, PLEASE STOP making these changes without providing a cite to a reliable source. If you're unclear about any of this, the path forward isn't to keep on doing what you've been doing. Instead you should be asking questions. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 18:41, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok but can u give an idea how to add a source if I create a good page?? Please ... thank you Bkpsnowman (talk) 03:16, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I had found out that many runtimes had been wrong.... even lesser or more than the actual runtime..... I checked from YouTube and just mentioned it🙂🙂 Bkpsnowman (talk) 04:34, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Caution must be used in using YouTube as a source. Please see WP:YOUTUBE. As to adding a source, there is a button in the horizontal menu in the editing window labeled "cite". It's on the right side of the menu. If click on that, there is a box that appears just below the menu bar called "Templates". Click on that, and you are given options for the template. "Cite web" is a common one. Click on that. A dialog box appears. Fill in the dialog box and click "insert". Citations are usually inserted at the end of a sentence. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for more information. You should also be aware that providing a citation that links to a copyright violation is against policy. It is not at all uncommon for movies to be uploaded to YouTube by users in violation of copyright. Unless a movie is posted to YouTube by the rights holder, citing it would be strictly against policy. See WP:COPYLINK. --Hammersoft (talk) 12:31, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Oh thanks a lot.... Hammersoft.... Thanks a lot Bkpsnowman (talk) 12:44, 17 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

And you continue to do this [3][4]. If you persist in this behavior, I will initiate a thread at WP:AN/I to request your block. Either provide a citation that proves the order of the cast or do not change it. There are a ton of people interested in South Asian films who keep on changing cast orders without providing any basis to do so. Everyone has their favorite actor who thinks should get top billing or higher billing in a film. This behavior MUST end. Either you stop this behavior or it will be stopped for you. Is this clear? --Hammersoft (talk) 16:04, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Arjayay. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Mamangam (2019 film), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 09:52, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Bkpsnowman, this edit is indistinguishable from vandalism, as it is way out of alignment with the source in the article. Please don't make any more odd edits like this. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 12:07, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Drishyam 2, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 09:53, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Biju Menon 2013.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Biju Menon 2013.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 14:30, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

2018 (film)

[edit]

Why did you restore the plot of 2018 (film) that I had carefully reduced? Please read and follow MOS:FILMPLOT. These overlong plot descriptions are not helpful. The version you restored was badly written with terrible grammatical mistakes and lots of personal interpretations. It was clearly worse than the version that I edited. Please do not restore it again. Grachester (talk) 20:40, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to 2018 (film), did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Your edit deliberately changed the title of the source and the information from the source. Further, there was nothing in the source about the budget. Don't do this again. Dishonest editing like this is highly disruptive and will lead to you be blocked from editing. Ravensfire (talk) 21:53, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at 2018 (film). Grachester (talk) 21:15, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your additions to the Plot section of 2018 (film) are extremely poor quality. You keep adding empty phrases that mean nothing: for example you do not need to say "The story starts" at the beginning of the plot section - readers knows the first sentence is the start of the story; adding "by his achievement" to the end of "The village praises him; even Manju is impressed" adds nothing except extra words saying the same thing. Your writing is full of serious errors: what is "One timpressed by hside of the story" intended to mean? And you are adding way too much detail to what is already hard to read.
I strongly recommend you read Wikipedia:How to write a plot summary and MOS:FILMPLOT and especially note that "Plot summaries for feature films should be between 400 and 700 words" - you are persistently adding unnecessary detail and empty phrases that take the summary over the 700 word limit. Continuing to add poorly written and unnecessary plot is disruptive. Your refusal to engage of this subject could lead to you being blocked from editing. Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! The Herald (Benison) (talk) 04:38, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
