The placement of a requested move template on the article has been discussed previously. I don't have handy links to all of the discussions, one is here. While consensus can change, the current consensus is that the placement of the requested move notice is on the talk page not on the article. Currently the only move-related template designed for use on the article page is {{cleanup-articletitle}}. CDPs for town centers of New england towns

Hi. I know you're very familiar with the municipal matters especially in relation to the Census Bureau treatment. I have suggested merging town center CDPs articles into the town article. Please see Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Vermont#Merging town center CDP articles into town articles and Talk:St. Johnsbury, Vermont#CDP change for details. I realize you are nominally against such mergers but I'd like to hear your comments about why the town center and the town should be treated as two different places. Pewabic Pottery category issue

I only noticed that you added the unreferenced statement The merger was celebrated in June, with officials thinking that waiting for the weather to turn would be best. There was a kite flying competition, in which the rules dictated that no man be allowed to trip another and the winner hold title to the company's store cellar., which seemed a little dubious to me. Not at all! I'm new to Wikipedia, and I'm glad to see that there's so many folks making sure the information on this site is the genuine article. Regarding my information about the company merger, I understand, but so were the times, I guess! I have the journals of my great-great Uncle Robert Allen who worked at the company as a recordskeeper. I'm unsure of how to reference these. Do you have any advice? Thanks so much.

Well, if unpublished, journals are difficult to reference, as they are essentially unverifiable. Are they personal journals or were they kept as part of his duties with the company? If the latter, you might try something like,

• Allen, Robert. Date of entry. Journal of the Wabash-Illinois Company (or whatever title might be appropriate).

Of course if anyone challenges the information, it'd be up to you to produce some sort of satisfactory proof that the journals are authentic and that you are representing the information accurately. older ≠ wiser 20:01, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

gives 1/4 the hits that

"James Watson" DNA

does, even tho the 2nd misses the "James D. Watson" refs.

"James Watson" 1922 judge

and

"James Lopez Watson" are both in the low 4 figures.

And IMO the other James Watsons are less likely to be sought. Unless i am mistaken, James D. Watson is the primary person meant by "James Watson", even if the initial is more often used (which i haven't checked, bcz it doesn't bear on what should happen when a user asks for "James Watson").
_ _ IMO James Watson should be a Rdr to James D. Watson, with a ToP Dab to James Watson (disambiguation) that begins "James Watson redirects here....". I'd be glad to do the work, but you have, laudably, paid enuf attention to the Dab James Watson, including moves, that your opinion in advance might save me from wasted effort. I note that 24.180.198.126 continues repeatedly to put in a link to a website that starts with the heading

"REAL ESTATE IS MY BUSINESS"

There is nothing else on that website. It is a commercial link, pure and simple. It does NOT belong in Wikipedia.

Moreover, he/she removes links to the Chamber of Commerce, which actually has lots of community information links, and to the airport. This is very strange.

Apparently this contributory wants to be the ONLY 'official Wikipedia endorsed real estate agent in Gaylord, Michigan.

It is wrong.

I don't know what to do, but would be happy to entertain any suggestions or assistance.
