[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Influencer marketing. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 23:25, 20 October 2022 (UTC)
- Care to explain how it is promotional? What exactly am I promoting? HireInfluence, Inc is an authoritative source on influencer marketing, given that they have been in the space since 2011. The current sources listed reference authors that discuss the general definition of influencer marketing (not taking into account the digital evolution of the industry). Bklimok (talk) 23:35, 20 October 2022 (UTC)
- It is not a reliable source, and you appear to have a conflict of interest. Grayfell (talk) 23:40, 20 October 2022 (UTC)
- Sure, it may appear as a conflict of interest because I tried to create a page for a company that has been verified as the first influencer marketing agency in the world. Yet it was rejected because some people view commercial intent given the company name may be interpreted as, "Hire Influence". How does the source not appear authoritative? I see influencermarketinghub.com listed as a source for Influencer marketing, when that website clearly sells sponsored listings on their website (See here). Bklimok (talk) 23:49, 20 October 2022 (UTC)
- "influencermarketinghub.com" is not reliable, either.
- Wikipedia is not a platform for promotion or advocacy. An anonymous corporate blogs is almost never going to meet Wikipedia's standards for reliable sources. Since you are doubling down on promoting the website, this again suggests that you have a conflict of interest. Please carefully review Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. You may also find Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide helpful.
- As those pages explain, if you are compensated for editing, you must disclose this to comply with Wikipedia's terms of service. Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure provides more information about this. Grayfell (talk) 00:49, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
- If "influencermarketinghub.com" is not reliable either, why is it on Influencer marketing? Bklimok (talk) 23:13, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
- You mean why is in the article with the big banner across the top which says "Some of this article's listed sources may not be reliable"? Yeah, that's a real mystery, isn't it. Grayfell (talk) 04:47, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
- That wasn't my question, but thanks for removing influencermarketinghub.com. Bklimok (talk) 19:41, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
