- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or sock puppetry.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.

Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.

Hello Bjoyce1,
It seems to me that an article you worked on, Mr.CAP, may be copied from http://eventful.com/performers/mr-cap-/P0-001-000154820-5. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.
It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.
Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 21:17, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Mr.CAP requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's discussion directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of recreating the page. Thank you. - Barek (talk • contribs) - 22:58, 6 August 2013 (UTC)

Reply to {{help me}} request: You posted the {{help me}} template on your page, but you did not post a question. Please add a question under this entry and I will return later and help you with it. Since I will be {{WP:Watching pages|watching this page]], I will see your question if you just post it here. No need for a new {{help me}} tag. — Bill W. (Talk) (Contrib) — 13:18, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
- I am very new at this and I know i will make mistakes, so thanks for you time and help. What am I doning wrong with this article I'm trying to create? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Bjoyce1/sandbox Bjoyce1 (talk) 15:20, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
- First problem, and a major one, is that it's exactly the same as this article: User:Corneliusapratt/sandbox. That article is apparently written by the subject of the article, a clear violation of the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest policy. The second problem I see is that most of the references are to iTunes. This is improper. Links to iTunes are basically spam because the main purpose is to sell the song, not inform the public in a non-promotional manner. Good references should be from reliable third party sources. That is to say press reports (not blogs) like magazines, books, newspapers, etc. Finally the article has several Manual of Style problems like spelling, punctuation, etc. I would suggest more proofreading for those items. As I see from the discussion above this article has already been deleted twice. The main thing you'll want to do is address the reasons that caused it to be deleted. — Bill W. (Talk) (Contrib) — 15:43, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you very much it was sent to me from User:Corneliusapratt/sandbox I thought if it was published by me it wouldn't be a violation but I see that I have to rewrite this article. Can I keep the photo and info box information and start over with the article? I see that there are other articles that are very simular with iTunes references, so we thought that would be ok. But I will remove those also.
- Yes, there would be no problem with the photo and Infobox. Much of the rest of the article would be OK too as long as statements of fact are properly verified and referenced as discussed above. If the subject of the article has been discussed in the press at all, that's where you should be looking for references. The iTunes links are definitely promotional, so you should find a third-party source that names the tracks, like a music magazine or something like that, and then you can have one reference for the entire track listing. References like that also help establish notability. — Bill W. (Talk) (Contrib) — 17:41, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. I will do what you said and try again. Thanks Bjoyce1 (talk) 22:31, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
Bjoyce1, you are invited to the Teahouse
[edit]Hi Bjoyce1! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Mr. CAP, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://artistecard.com/mrcap#!/news/2014/24728.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. Speedy deletion nomination of Mr. CAP
[edit]Hello Bjoyce1,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Mr. CAP for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Steve Lux, Jr. (talk) 15:06, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
August 2014
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Mr. CAP, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. There is still a substantial amount of copyright errors in the first paragraph. You need to completely rewrite the information in your own words without copying from any other source. Speedy deletion nomination of The Art of ISM
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on The Art of ISM requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article does not exist or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. The Art of ISM moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, The Art of ISM, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Liz Read!
