If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ravenshaw Colligiate School, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. —teb728 t c 07:21, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you have questioned the deletion on the user talk page of the admin who deleted it. The page which was deleted was your page Ravenshaw Colligiate School, as shown above, but if you had used the correct spelling Ravenshaw Collegiate School then you would have found that this redirects to Ravenshaw College, so the article already exists. You are welcome, subject to Wikipedia's normal rules, to improve that article if you feel that improvement is necessary, but if you are not confident in your command of English you may be better suggesting your improvements at Talk:Ravenshaw College rather than trying to edit the article yourself. - David Biddulph (talk) 09:39, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

According to the Ravenshaw article, they are the same place. If you think that there is enough material for a separate article about the school, you will need independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that the school meets the notability guidelines. You will need to write in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:47, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I hope that in his reply above, Jim intended to say "You will need to write not in a promotional tone."
As I noted on his talk page, I've started the job for you by finding two reliable sources, so it is now up to you to find further sources to back up additional information which you wish to add to the article. Please take the time to read the links in the welcome message at the top of your page here. - David Biddulph (talk) 11:41, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
