Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Cranford, New Jersey to Nomahegan Park (your addition has since been removed). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. If you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. [edit]Hello, Bhdshoes2. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Speedy deletion nomination of SeaQuest Interactive Aquariums
[edit]Hello Bhdshoes2,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged SeaQuest Interactive Aquariums for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

[edit]Speedy deletion nomination of SeaQuest Interactive Aquariums
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on SeaQuest Interactive Aquariums requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Daiyusha (talk) 20:46, 11 January 2020 (UTC)

Deborah Cannon Partridge Wolfe moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Deborah Cannon Partridge Wolfe, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. BLP discretionary sanctions alert
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

[edit]Anonymous blogs are never acceptable sources for claims about living people. Before you edit the biographies of living people any further, I strongly suggest that you review and take to heart our policies regarding such content. Further violations may be reported at Arbitration Enforcement as grounds for the imposition of sanctions. NorthBySouthBaranof (talk) 04:52, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
Your draft article, Draft:Deborah Cannon Partridge Wolfe
[edit]Hello, Bhdshoes2. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Deborah Cannon Partridge Wolfe".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the {{db-afc}}
, {{db-draft}}
, or {{db-g13}}
code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! —Nnadigoodluck███ 00:21, 18 October 2020 (UTC)

Sources are needed
[edit]In this edit, and other similar edits, you've added details about bodies of water that pass through places. Presumably you know that Pumpkin Patch Brook passes through the township based on a source, so why not satisfy Wikipedia policy and add the source with each edit? And I don't know why Robinsons Branch has no apostrophe, while Robinson's Branch Reservoir does, but there's no need to add a piped link for Robinson's Branch. If the stream should properly have an apostrophe in the name, consider a change rather than playing with the name in links. Alansohn (talk) 15:15, 3 August 2022 (UTC)

We may leaven the event with a few impromptu lightning talks, a Wiki-fashion show (yes, really!), and likely an afterparty tour. All attendees are subject to Wikimedia NYC's Code of Conduct. Speedy deletion nomination of Jess Hilarious
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Jess Hilarious requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia.
Jess Hilarious moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Jess Hilarious, is not suitable as written to remain published.
Liz Read! Removal of Bamboozle
[edit]As in this edit, why are you removing details about the history of the Bamboozle festival from the article for Asbury Park, New Jersey? Alansohn (talk) 00:48, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
- Hi! Shouldnt it only be active festivals? Bhdshoes2 (talk) 01:01, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
- Why only active festivals? The rest of the article has historical data and The Bamboozle is a notable event on its own. Alansohn (talk) 19:21, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
- Ok! It just seemed old and out of date to me. Last one in AP was a long time ago. But if you think it should stay, sounds good to me. Bhdshoes2 (talk) 21:53, 31 May 2023 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

List of film festivals in New Jersey
[edit]While the article is still underdevelopment, the List of film festivals in New Jersey uses external links in away in which are prohibited. As explained in Wikipedia:ELLIST.The links, which would be PRIMARY sources, could be turned in citations. The list could be expanded with grid/columns, one of which could be an official websites. Djflem (talk) 10:27, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks Djflem. Makes sense Bhdshoes2 (talk) 10:35, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- ...and these edits are a step forward, but can I ask that these external links be formatted as proper references, as is done throughout the article, rather than just placing the links between ref tags and brackets? Alansohn (talk) 14:50, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- Wait now youve lost me - i used refill.toolforge.org to create proper citations. I must have messed up. Weird! Bhdshoes2 (talk) 14:56, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- Ohhhh. It is the brackets - they need to be removed Bhdshoes2 (talk) 14:57, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hi user:Alansohn and user:Djflem - just FYI and of course no need to get involved if not your thing, but my new project is to clean up the *List of New Jersey music venues by capacity if you have any thoughts. Am trying to get hang of it as it does not sort properly by capacity which is annoying. I also plan to add a lot of missing smaller live music venues. Bhdshoes2 (talk) 13:53, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- here are my thoughts on what I plan to do, if curious:
- -- figure out how to get it to sort by capacity in size order
- -- add in the individual theaters by capacity and name at the various PACs and venues, since many have a big theater and some small ones
- -- once i get it refreshed, create, separately, "template" akin to the template for Music Venues In Illinois where at a glance you can see the biggest to smallest notable venues in the state. Categories for that template, I'm thinking are "Outdoor," "Indoor arenas and similar" (6500+ capacity)," "Theaters and clubs (1000-6499 capacity)," "Theaters and clubs (500 to 999)," "Theaters and clubs (under 500), "Festivals," and "Historic."
- --One of the challenges i think is deciding what "counts" as an NJ "music venue" as opposed to just a college sports venue, playhouse or convention center. I think for the template to be useful it needs to be places that have handled professional music touring acts however small. Otherwise it is just a list of large buildings for events. Bhdshoes2 (talk) 14:24, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- Bhdshoes2, things look to be shaping up. Start with the main venues and work your way down. There are college and high school auditoriums that have been used as venues and the inclusion criteria should reflect that. Some, like the RWJBarnabas Health Arena might well clear the hurdle, even though it's not primarily a music venue, but it has been used b notable acts performing in the state. Alansohn (talk) 14:18, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks! Need to get back to it Bhdshoes2 (talk) 23:41, 29 December 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Laura Lee (bassist), without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Λeternus (talk) 13:15, 1 November 2023 (UTC)

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message
[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:48, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in Michael Jackson. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic. For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor. |
Thanks. Feel free to remove this alert if you wish. -- TruthGuardians (talk) 00:44, 10 December 2023 (UTC)
Canvassing
[edit]On Wikipedia, it's generally not a good idea to ping people to talk pages as you did in this edit. This can be construed as canvassing, as other people don't know whether you're pinging the other person because you know they agree with you or because you want an impartial opinion. It's usually considered better to post to a WikiProject or noticeboard, such as the neutral point of view noticeboard, where it's more likely you'll find impartial people. During a content dispute, you could seek dispute resolution, such as third opinion or start a request for comments. This is probably more important in contentious topics, such as articles about Michael Jackson, where there's been a history of sock puppetry and canvassing. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 01:45, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks. I posted it to the noticeboard! Bhdshoes2 (talk) 17:17, 13 December 2023 (UTC)

[edit]" There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. TruthGuardians (talk) 15:40, 13 December 2023 (UTC)".
- user:NinjaRobotPirate and user:AlanSohn am I allowed to ask what user:TruthGuardians means by this post about "incidents" here on my talk page? There is no link here. I understand Child sexual abuse accusations against Michael Jackson is a polarizing topic, but I always always always take disputes to the talk page, i have been editing in good faith for years, and i provide references and neutral POV. Any info on what this is all about would be most welcome. I cant help but think it is a bad faith attempt to prevent neutral editing. User:TruthGuardians you are welcome to weigh in but you keep reverting edits on a matter that is literally going to trial in Feb 2024... Bhdshoes2 (talk) 17:23, 13 December 2023 (UTC)

- Hi Bhdshoes2. The discussion is at WP:ANI#Disruptive editing, WP:Canvassing, Offsite canvassing on a General sanctioned page and topic. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 01:38, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
- Cant help but feel dogpiled on this "ANI" by 3 beyond-passionate fans who are rather "focused editors". Looks to me like experienced editors like Phil Bridger, Malcolmxl5, BilledMammal, Crossroads Drmies may possibly have expressed concerns before about these passionate Jackson fans "defending Michael" by scrubbing pages or felt, in disputes of yesteryear, "anything related to MJ is absolutely trainwrecked with a barrage of SPAs, most of who are not aware of policy and the ones aware engage in endless wikilawyering." --: qedk in my opinion, if an editor wants to edit a MJ alleged abuse page, and their edits are well supported by fact and reliable opinion, other editors should not try to silence and spook me and others away with immediate resort to "tribunals" Bhdshoes2 (talk) 14:20, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
- Not sure why I was pinged, I am assuming because I was the person who proposed the Michael Jackson community sanction - but to summarize, the entire reasoning behind the sanction is primarily is that there is sockpuppetry, meatpuppetry and canvassing that plagues the topic area as a whole, and I believe it still holds true today (as we are also observing here). Until the fact of the matter changes, I do not see a way to continue productive editing in this topic area. No one is trying to spook or silence you, it's just that the policy regime of community sanctions is strict and all editors in this area are therefore subject to a higher than normal level of scrutiny. --qedk (t 愛 c) 22:50, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
- Yes indeed that is why i pinged you as I was encouraged to see your old quote aout the barrage of SPAs editing the page in bad faith. I was hoping you'd swoop in and save the day but this topic is so contentious it doesn't seem possible. Two questions:
- who is now barred from editing MJ pages? TruthGuardians, JimBailey, and Mr Boar1 who appear to aggressively enforce an innocence stance in terms of edit warring, or me alone?
- Am I barred from talk pages or just actual live Jackson pages?
- Not arguing with your edict, just wondering lay of land. Bhdshoes2 (talk) 23:28, 21 December 2023 (UTC)

Joe Sanders (double bassist) moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Joe Sanders (double bassist), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
