Tubal factor infertility

Thanks for your input. The reason why I turn this into a separate article is that there is enough information contained in the Sternak and other journals to warrant a totally separate article. I have not inserted all information relevant to this topic which gets more into the specific damage treatment and repair of the fallopian tubes. FTI has other causes than just PID. In addition one can have tubal factor infertility that is not caused by PID. Also, different organisms have a different propensity and causing tubal factor infertility. I do have to go back and double check the coding which may not be perfectly accurate at this point of time. Article is by no means perfect or complete at this point. But since there is so much overlap in the topics of PID and tubal factor infertility, it was just economical to work on both articles at the same time. You do make an excellent point. though. In my reading, there is much overlap between Ectopic pregnancy, TFI, and PID. TFI and PID can cause EP. TFI can be caused by PID. Treatment for PID is for infectious disease. Treatment for TFI is treatment for possible infectious disease AND correction of conditions that block the tubes. The whole path of cause and effect is what is so fascinating for me at this point.

You haven't read this yet since I am preparing it to insert into the PID article, but PID has a measurable effect on pregnancy outcomes. A history of PID and subsequent recurring PID results in premature births, higher than average infant mortality, sepsis and a whole host of other problems with newborns - this according to Sternak. Does this belong in a new section in the PID article?

I always thought it wasn't quite 'fair' to put so much effort into patrolling new pages and getting so little 'credit' for it, really. After all, it doesn't add up to a whole lot of edits and if you really think something is suspicious, you could end up spending a good twenty minutes sniffing out a hoax, non-notable-author-created-off-wiki-fake references, and just some plain weirdness. Your article already exists I am about 99% sure that this article already exists and it is called: Civilian Conservation Corp. I am old enough to remember my parents and grandparents talking about this FDR program that it existed to stimulate the economy back in the 30s or 40s. It used to be referred to as: the CCC. I am thinking that is what you are trying to make the title sounds like. The content of your article also matches the content of this already existing article. Smith also wanted to teach “workers’ education”, a term that had a strong communist association. She related years later, “I hardly dared mention it because it was so unpopular.”

Please review your recent additions of this category to articles which are not about pathogens or malignancies. I can see where some of the subjects might be tangentially related to the category, but they don't necessarily belong in the category. --Versageek 00:09, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

Thank you Versageek and MrX for taking an interest in reviewing this category and its appropriateness. It has been interesting to me that the creation of the category would even have a hint of controversy attached to it and I remain somewhat surprised. Various pathogens ranging from viruses to nematodes and flukes are strongly linked to increasing the risk of cancer in humans. Each of the articles in this category support the connection of increased cancer risk with reliable secondary and tertiary citations to reliable medical journals. This category links these diverse topics. I have reviewed WP:NPOV, WP:CAT and have not been able to find content that would call into question the existence of the category or its contents. I admit I am surprised that NPOV is an issue, since I basically insert references after summarizing contents of a journal article. My opinion on the topic is quite irrelevant - I am editing the contents of recent (within the past five years or so) medical journal articles and placing the information into the appropriate articles. You aren't the only ones that have questioned this category and its contents: WikiProject Medicine Talk page discussion on the same topic.

It is not the creation of the category that I personally had issue with, but the articles you chose to include as "infectious causes of cancer", including Condom [1], Men who have sex with men [2] and Sex education [3] among others. The category description page states that "the articles in this category support the connection of increased cancer risk", but Condom states a decreased risk, Men who have sex with men's cancer statement is specifically about the presence of HPV, and Sex education in itself cannot possibly cause cancer. It is a reasonable category to have when applied properly. That was not the case on its creation. HalJor (talk) 22:43, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

spacing problems

This is regarding your 27 March 2015 edit to Wikipedia:Manual of Style with edit summary: "(added spacing per MOS:HEAD for readability in the edit window)".

I'm not sure if your change from standard to optional header spacing is a good idea. It seems counter-productive, since there are automated scripts that, on occasion, check for and eliminate unnecessary spaces and blank lines. There are a few places with {{anchor}}s on lines by themselves (which don't display) which had extra blank lines added afterward, which caused extra blank line space in the display version. In section "Punctuation inside or outside", an extra visual space appeared after the header when an extra blank line was added before a <!--comment--> line. Those are just a few of the things I noticed that need correction. Thanks for your attention to this matter.

I think what prompted my edit was something that I read in the documentation for the WIKIEd program instructions where the rationale for spacing correction was explained by the author. BUT if I edited something that is going to 'screw up' some scripts that are already in place and working just fine, I want to put things back to the way they were, that is for certain. Hallo, This article is now up for deletion as a possible hoax, but in looking at its history I was surprised by this edit of yours. "Gotten" is American English, not current British English, and although Jersey isn't technically part of the UK I'm pretty sure they speak nearer to UK English than US English!
