Please use clearer language
[edit]You wrote in an edit summary that you had added a link to somebody's wiki, to an article. In fact, you had wikilinked a person's name (and quite appropriately). If they have a wiki, linking to it would have been inappropriate (see WP:EL). What you linked to was not their wiki, but rather an article in Wikipedia about them. The distinction is important, as some people think an article about somebody, belongs to that somebody. Hope this helps! --Orange Mike | Talk 23:57, 11 March 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks!, I'm relatively new to this. Can I edit the edit summary? Ben the Bos (talk) 00:00, 12 March 2017 (UTC)

Invitation to join Women in Red
[edit] Thank you for creating several articles on women and their works over the past few weeks. We have become aware of your contributions thanks to research undertaken by Bobo.03 at the University of Minnesota. We think you might be interested in becoming a member of our WikiProject Women in Red where we are actively trying to reduce Wikipedia's content gender gap. You can join by using the box at the top of the WiR page. But if you would like to receive news of our activities without becoming a member, you can simply add your name to our mailing list. In any case, thank you for actively contributing to the coverage of women (currently, 17.55% of English Wikipedia's biographies). Our priorities for April:

Account creator change
[edit]Hi, I'm just letting you know that I have removed the account creator permission from your account. The English Wikipedia has recently created a new user group, event coordinator, and editors who need to create accounts for outreach events are being migrated to it from the account creator permission. If you need the permission to create accounts in the future for an event, you can request it at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Event coordinator a few days before the event is slated to begin. TonyBallioni (talk) 18:38, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
Event coordinator granted
[edit]After reviewing your request for the "eventcoordinator" permission, I have enabled the flag on your account. Keep in mind these things:
- The event coordinator right removes the limit on the maximum number of new accounts that can be created in a 24-hour period.
- The event coordinator right allows you to temporarily add the "confirmed" permission to newly created accounts. You should not grant this for more than 10 days.
- The event coordinator right is not a status symbol. If it remains unused, it is likely to be removed. Abuse of the event coordinator right will result in its removal by an administrator.
- Please note, if you were previously a member of the "account creator" group, your flag may have been converted to this new group.
If you no longer require the right, let me know, or ask any other administrator. Drop a note on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of the event coordinator right. Happy editing! — xaosflux Talk 00:39, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
