Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Ben Bilal, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need personal help ask me on my talk page, or ask a question on your talk page. Again, welcome.  Doug Weller talk 16:36, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Quran shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  RegentsPark (comment) 13:13, 19 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've blocked you temporarily for disruptive editing. When the block expires, please use article talk pages rather than continually adding information to articles and finding yourself reverted or you may be subject to escalating blocks. --RegentsPark (comment) 13:16, 19 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. You're not having a good time so far. Please consider the "advice" to use the talk pages, and discuss your edits, rather than simply trying to ram them through William M. Connolley (talk) 10:49, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You have edited Quran many times and have been reverted many times. That means you need to stop editing and discuss your proposed changes with other editors. The place for that discussion is Talk:Quran. I have blocked your ability to edit articles to prevent further disruption. Please visit the article talk page and start a new section to explain why your proposed edit should be included. Questions can be asked at WP:Teahouse. Note that you may not uses the anti-Islam open wiki site WikiIslam as a source, or Creationist sources such as the ICR 9 (and calling Creationists "liberal scholars" is makes me worried about your competence). Doug Weller talk 09:17, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Portal:Religious belief of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section P1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a portal which would be subject to speedy deletion under criterion G2 if it were an article.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
