Hello, there's a new opinion news article that was just recently published. I believe the spreadsheet should be updated accordingly. Thank you.

- Hey, the correct place to discuss this would be on the talk page of the article. This specific article has already been incorporated into the page though, and so it has also been added to the spreadsheet. Thanks! BenSVE (talk) 22:47, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
Assisting with updating the omnibus spreadsheet
[edit]Would you like some assistance in maintaining the Omnibus spreadsheet? I went through the As and found a few entries that might need updating (Actraiser at 4 publications, Afterburner at 2) or reclassifying (there appear to be two entries for 1999 release of Alien versus Predator). If you would find it useful, I could go through the rest of the spreadsheet and build a summary. EoinOT (talk) 14:38, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
- If you have time and would like to, that would be great! I have unfortunately not had as much time as I'd like to go over the sheet in some time. BenSVE (talk) 18:01, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
Another mistake with the visualized omnibus data
[edit]Sorry to bother you with another mistake involving the same game as last time, but "Robotron" is not a separate entry from "Robotron: 2084". The one-word "Robotron" is not an official title for any game; rather, the single source using that title is just referring to "Robotron: 2084" in a shorthand way. If you could merge these two entries again, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your help! IAmACowWhoIsMad (talk) 04:40, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
- Not a problem! Feel free to note any errors here. I have not had as much time to go through and double check everything recently. BenSVE (talk) 15:54, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
Another error in the omnibus spreadsheet
[edit]Hello, I was browsing the spreadsheet when I found this entry called Crush Crush, but I could not find any reference for it, both in the spreadsheet sources and in the google doc. 2804:14C:D482:8288:557F:54B0:8747:4394 (talk) 15:58, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know! I believe it is just supposed to be "Crush", so I have remedied the error. BenSVE (talk) 18:24, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
Mistake with visualized omnibus data
[edit]Hello again, I believe I have found another error with the visualized omnibus data. There is a listing for "Jet Grind Radio" separate from "Jet Set Radio". "Jet Grind Radio" is the original North American title for "Jet Set Radio" (though now the game is referred to as "Jet Set Radio" in all regions). Thus, they should be merged accordingly. Thank you! IAmACowWhoIsMad (talk) 20:41, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- Oh, I also found something else. There's a listing for "WarioWare", but this isn't an actual game in the WarioWare series. Every WarioWare game has some sort of subtitle, so I don't know quite which game this may have been referring to (perhaps "WarioWare Inc: Mega Microgames" since that one's the original?) or if this was a series entry that accidentally made its way onto the list. IAmACowWhoIsMad (talk) 21:08, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry to pile all of these on top of you, but I've been going over the data with a fine-toothed comb and have found several more mistakes.
- • "Starcraft: Brood War" has a duplicate entry.
- • "Dragon's Dogma" also has a duplicate.
- • "Micro Machines 2: Turbo Tournament" has three or possibly four separate entries for itself, listed as "Micro Machines 2", "Micro Machines 2: Turbo Tournament", "Micro Machines Turbo Tournament '96" (there's no separate article for the 1996 version), and possibly "Micro Machines '96" ("Micro Machines Military" was also released in 1996, but I think there's a reasonable chance it's also referring to Turbo Tournament's 1996 version as well)
- • "Desert Strike" and "Desert Strike: Return to the Gulf" are the same game, as "Desert Strike: Return to the Gulf" is often shortened to just "Desert Strike" (including on Wikipedia's article for it)
- • "Counter-Strike" and "Counter-Strike 1.6" are the same game (it's listed as an alternative title on Counter-Strike's Wikipedia page)
- • "FTL: Advanced Edition" is a free update to "FTL: Faster than Light" and thus should probably not be counted as a separate entry (especially since it does not have its own article)
- • "Ninja Gaiden (2004)" and "Ninja Gaiden Black" are listed separately. Black is an updated re-release that does not have it's own separate article.
- • Not really an error, but it should be made more clear which Star Wars: Battlefront II is being referred to.
- Sorry again for the long list of mistakes. Considering the sheer amount of games included in the data, I suppose this was bound to happen. Hopefully I didn't miss anything else too major. IAmACowWhoIsMad (talk) 22:21, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- Not a problem! Lots of errors are associated with sources naming games incorrect things, such as the WarioWare and Micro Machines issues. The Micro Machines '96 entry is in the same list as a Micro Machines 2 entry, so for now, I am going to add it as Micro Machines Military. I will keep a note, but I doubt it'll ever get to 6 sources anyways so it likely will not cause trouble. Thanks for the assistance! All of these should be fixed now.
