[edit]Please see Countries of the United Kingdom for more detail on why Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland are described as countries. The British government has used such a term to describe them there for use of the term is justified. Country means different things to different people. The fact the United Kingdoms article says its a Sovereign state is a good thing. Its also clear from each article that they are countries which form part of the United Kingdom.
I understand how you feel, but please dont presume this is part of a nationalist (separatist) agenda. Blame our own government. BritishWatcher (talk) 22:09, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
