Page Curation newsletter
Hey Begonia Brandbygeana. I'm dropping you a note because you used to patrol new pages. This is just to let you know that we've deployed and developed Page Curation, which augments and supersedes Special:NewPages - there are a lot of interesting new features if you want to get back into the swing of patrolling :). There's some help documentation here if you want to familiarise yourself with the system and start using it. If you find any bugs or have requests for new features, let us know here. Thanks! Just as a note, you can make your userpage elements not overlap by replacing the code with:

Link to cat
I don't think linking to two cats in {{uw-spamublock}} serves much purpose but you may care to note the colon trick for linking to a cat instead of putting an article in a cat. Also works for referring to an image instead of putting it in a page. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:09, 4 November 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for January 30
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Eriko Hatsune, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Japanese (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Following dicussion at Wikipedia talk:Criteria for speedy deletion#Wikipedia talk:Criteria for speedy deletion I noticed that you removed the speedy tag from this AfC page with the comment "has been declined as spam". It is unclear to me why declining the AfC submission as spam should stop the page being speedy deleted as spam. The spam speedy delete criteria is a "General" criteria and so applies to all pages on wikipedia. As this page clearly meets the criteria I have gone ahead and speedy deleted it. If you provide a good reason for this not to have happened then I will restore it but at the moment I am assuming you removed the speedy delete tag because of some misunderstanding of the speedy delete criteria or something similar. Dpmuk (talk) 17:32, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
- I don't have a problem with this one being deleted, however usually I thought (for spam) we AGF more and encourage the creator to improve the page, while in userspace we have the same allowance for spam as in mainspace, see also Wikipedia talk:Criteria for speedy deletion/Archive 46#Db-spam-notice and othes. 1990 Rosmalen Grass Court Championships
Hi, noticed you left a message on my talk page on unreviewing 1990 Rosmalen Grass Court Championships which you later reverted. Just curious what that was about. Cheers.--Wolbo (talk) 11:24, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, I thought I was marking it as reviewed, not unreviewed, which is why you got a message (as you were the reviewer). Begonia Brandbygeana (talk) 11:40, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Rajat jain
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Rajat jain, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:57, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
Talk page notices
Do you use your own, or a regular automatic template? Reason I'm asking is that I've seen two notices following your tagging that refer to "an promotion". I'm trying to establish whether a polite tick-off here is appropriate, or if I should go steaming into Page Curation (where I don't think they like me as I was rather rude a few times when it started up - and I'm still not impressed...). 8-( Peridon (talk) 14:38, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
- I sometimes use Page Curation (which only works on new pages), otherwise I manually add db-spam which uses Template:Spam-warn. Begonia Brandbygeana (talk) 10:41, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- I've just managed to get Twinkle to work. Begonia Brandbygeana (talk) 10:45, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
User Creationkingdomzoo
Can you expand on your response concerning User:Creationkingdomzoo It's clear this is a SPA account and a blatant violation. Please help me understand how their activity in AFC excuses this. --RadioFan (talk) 12:31, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- Because the only contribs are to AFC, if they were in any other namespace, I would strongly support a block (and deletion of the page), but not if their only to AFCs (as they can be declined as spam), See Wikipedia:Usernames for administrator attention/Instructions#Promotional usernames. Begonia Brandbygeana (talk) 12:39, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- This user's only edits are promotional in nature. I'm not seeing the ambiguity here.--RadioFan (talk) 13:08, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
