Thank you.
The article HD (rapper) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 22:18, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of HD (rapper)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on HD (rapper) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. 69.181.253.230 (talk) 22:33, 17 December 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, BearfacedENT. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article HD (rapper), you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. AllyD (talk) 08:21, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
BearfacedENT, you are invited to the Teahouse
[edit]Hi BearfacedENT! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
- Why can't I edit Wikipedia?
Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.
- Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?
Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.
- What can I do now?
If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.
If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:
- Add the text
{{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
on your user talk page. - Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
- Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}

Request reason:
I have been blocked because I am a spam user? I practically wrote an essay yesterday, located on the talk pages for both the HD article itself and the Articles for Deletion talk page explaining why this biography is important. Neither of them received a response. This block is unwarranted in entirely unnecessary...
Decline reason:
Per discussion below. Daniel Case (talk) 16:31, 22 December 2013 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You say you are just an unpaid fan, but in an earlier edit you say you are working for him. That, and your username is the same as his official website's domain, which certainly gives the impression of some sort of affiliation. Please be aware that even if you aren't being paid, you can still have a conflict of interest if you put the interests of the topic you are writing about above the goals of Wikipedia.
In your arguments here, you basically acknowledge that HD doesn't meet the requirements:
- "I understand that these are labels are not deemed as "Important""
- "I understand that this competition is not deemed as "major""
- "it is difficult to find many sources of information"
All of those are things that, to a neutral editor, would strongly suggest that he is not currently notable. Instead, you continue to insist that despite that, he is notable anyway. Do you see the problem here now? Albums are not reliable sources because they are obviously not independent from the musician.
Here are a few key questions:
- Do you understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and not a means of promotion or place to establish a "web presence"?
- Do you understand conflict of interest?
- Do you understand that to be considered for an encyclopedia article, the subject must be notable?
You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. Mr.Z-man 15:43, 22 December 2013 (UTC)
1. Why would I need to establish a web presence when there is a media-based website already dedicated to the label. I don't see why you think the web presence I was referring to is wikipedia, because that is false. The website itself is the web presence, not this article.
2. While I acknowledge "working" for him, that term is so loose that there is no way for you to bind an affiliation. I'm a white, upper-class kid from Menlo Park, CA, and you think that I have an personal affiliation with a rapper, who raps about selling hard drugs and killing people, and whom I have never even met before. If conflict of interest is reflected by having an interest in the information being available to the public, then yes, you could say I have a conflict of interest.
3. The subject is notable, cited by the youtube videos provided at the end of the article that you seemed to omit.
4. Excuse me for making a username based on the artist, fuck me right?
I would try and refute this more, but it seems that I'm wasting my time. I apologize for trying to contribute. Might as well just delete everything. I understand that your job is to police, but not to discourage further participation. Sadly, that is exactly what you are doing. BearfacedENT (talk) 19:20, 22 December 2013 (UTC)
