This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. creffett (talk) 00:07, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox

[edit]

Hi! I'm responding about the sandbox, which was deleted by @Jimfbleak: under concerns of it being advertising.

I think that one of the more major concerns he may have had is that you're a student editing on the college you're attending. This can make it harder to edit neutrally on the topic, as you're more likely to hold a stronger opinion or feeling about it.

As far as content goes, I do have some notes:

  • I think it would be good to write up an outline of what you want to cover in this, as well as whether you want this to be its own article or a subsection in the main article about cooperative education. Right now it looks like it puts a large emphasis on only a couple of institutions, one of which is run by your university.
  • This needs non-primary sources to help establish notability as well as to help provide stronger verification for facts and details. If this is going to be its own article then notability is extremely important to establish strongly, as we will need to establish how cooperative education in Canada is independently notable outside of the main article on cooperative education.
  • Be careful when using primary sources, as they're most likely to write about something in a positive, promotional way. I think that this is what happened with some of the content, which is why it can come across as promotional. Also keep in mind that the topic should be a general overview, so it's not really necessary to go into a lot of specifics.

This should cover the basics. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 20:48, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
