This is very disappointing, the comment "Nepotism does not mean notability" shows a lack of understanding of the culture in Qatar and how things work. Members of Royal family are appointed to certain positions, either they succeed, which is the case of the subject of this article, and they became known around the country, or they do not succeed. I understand that the Qataris all together are just 350 000 in number but this is how their culture works. BassemDeaibess (talk) 08:34, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

To add to the information, in Qatar a lot of Governmental departments (aka Ministries) are created in a corporate form. Being the head of the Qatar Media Corporation is equal to being the Ministry of Media, which is why the head of QMC is assigned through a Royal decree.
