Please don't update only one managerial table

[edit]

I appreciate your enthusiasm in updating the List of Major League Baseball managers by wins, but when you only update one table (total wins and not the percentage table) that results in an inconsistent page. I'm rolling back your latest change; I have a set Monday/Friday update cycle after full series for the page. Dralwik|Have a Chat 13:18, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your enthusiasm to be conistent. However, who's winning percentage changed? I looked at that stat and saw no changes. Double check on baseball reference. 2601:2C6:4300:30C0:7850:4B6B:9488:8602 (talk) 00:46, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
John Schneider went from .580 to .586, and the percentage table's games and wins columns will have changed even if the percentages did not. Dralwik|Have a Chat 02:23, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:51, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As is noted multiple times throughout the article,

PLEASE DO NOT UPDATE STATISTICS MID-SEASON, AS IT CREATES MORE PROBLEMS THAN IT SOLVES, AND WIKIPEDIA'S PURPOSE IS NOT TO PROVIDE UP-TO-THE-MINUTE STATISTICS. PLEASE SAVE THE UPDATING OF STATISTICS UNTIL THE END OF THE REGULAR SEASON.

It becomes considerably more difficult to comprehensively update the table at season's end if it is randomly updated throughout the season; this is why we don't update the 1,000-games-played table until the season is over.

Reverting the table to its start-of-season form while keeping other necessary updates was not fun. Please don't continue the mid-season updates. The Kip 23:24, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This message doesn't make any sense whatsoever. How hard is it to update a page daily? It's done in multiple categories for MLB. Are you too lazy? Are NHL fans inherently worse fans than MLB? This is a public wiki. It;s really not that hard to update 10 players. Banueloschris (talk) 00:11, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You've two choices, abide by the message & stop updating the page during the season or end up being blocked. GoodDay (talk) 15:42, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Why are you being an asshole, literally 2 weeks after the fact? I haven't touched this page since. Block me all you want. But go eat a bowl of dicks, you lazy fuck. Because I can guarantee you every other major league sport updates their all time wiki lists weekly, if not daily. Look at NFL all time passing leaders. When it's baseball season, look at the all time home run list, the all time manager wins list, the all time saves list. Look at the NBA all time scoring leaders, all time rebound leaders, all time assist leaders, etc. This is literally the ONLY wiki page that doesn't update. Which is ironic because it's only 10 guys you need to update. You can shove your wiki up your ass. I just want you to know that I know you're a lazy prick. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Some Came Running (film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Steven Peck. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
