AfD nomination of The Corsham School

I have nominated The Corsham School, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Corsham School. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? --HughCharlesParker (talk - contribs) 22:18, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

petrol interceptor

Thanks for your edits. I still pass by here from time to time. I don't know anything about petrol_interceptors except I've seen signs for them on the M25 and created the article - because I wanted to know more about them. CustardJack (talk) 22:43, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

September

Hello mate. Just wanted to clarify with you, as mentioned, the source shows he is head judge and as per Virus101 and Rob, it doesn't need to be repeated and should be left under the heading of relevance. Best regards. Yids2010 (talk) 16:44, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

My apologies, I missed that link all together, the only reason I reverted it was I wasn't even aware that X-Factor had the Head Judge position and I thought they were all equal but apparently not. I did just think it was a bit of random and unnecessary because of that. I apologise again. Bailo26 16:53, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
No problem mate, I was under the same impression until the sources proved otherwise. Anyways thanks again and all the best. Yids2010 (talk) 17:22, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

I do apologise but it certainly appeared that way to me, most of us don't have a tendency to refer to other users as "fucking stupid". In fact looking through your user edits on talk pages of other users and AfD's your edits do seem to be in quite an aggressive tone all together with a lot of reverting other users edits if they change something. Speedy deletion contested: محمد أمين الفرايجية

Hello Bailo26, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of محمد أمين الفرايجية, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Article does not exist at a foreign Wikipedia. track my IP - I don't edit and you told me I will be banned

Hi there, I just visited an article and was told I had messages from you about my recent edits. I don't edit wikipedia. I then looked at these messages and then the articles in question and I have never seen them before. I use wikipedia for homework, I don't vandalise or edit anything. Either someone has managed to use my laptop without my noticing, which I say is impossible, or has been rerouting when vandalising. Even though I don't edit I'm sure you can understand I don't want my IP banned for something I didn't do. If the edits come from anywhere but England, or Yorkshire more specifically, then they're not me. I'm from England, why would I want to vandalise the internet? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.44.142.25 (talk) 20:51, 3 March 2013 (UTC)

Hi there! No-one has placed blame on you directly so first off don't worry about that. The user that was editing was from the same IP address you happened to be connecting from, IP addresses change from time to time and are generally shared around by your service provider (in this case BT), these are called Dynamic IP's. The warnings that were posted to the page occurred back in October 2011. The warnings on your IP addresses account tend to be reset every month. One way that you can prevent this occurring or risking it happening again is to make an account on Wikipedia. You don't have to edit and it just means that (unless you are vandalising) there is no risk of you being banned. Have a nice day! Bailo26 00:38, 4 March 2013 (UTC)

Wiki Loves Pride 2014

Hi Bailo26. In case you are not aware, there is an upcoming campaign to improve coverage of LGBT-related topics on Wikipedia, culminating with an international edit-a-thon on June 21. See Wiki Loves Pride 2014 for more information. If you are interested, you might consider creating a page for a major city (or cities!) near you, with a list of LGBT-related articles that need to be created or improved. This would be a tremendous help to Wikipedia and coverage of LGBT culture and history. Thanks for your consideration, and please let me know if you have any questions! --Another Believer (Talk) 17:59, 13 May 2014 (UTC)

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:17, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

New deal for page patrollers

Hi Bailo26,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

Hi. We're into the last five days of the Women in Red World Contest. There's a new bonus prize of $200 worth of books of your choice to win for creating the most new women biographies between 0:00 on the 26th and 23:59 on 30th November. If you've been contributing to the contest, thank you for your support, we've produced over 2000 articles. If you haven't contributed yet, we would appreciate you taking the time to add entries to our articles achievements list by the end of the month. Thank you, and if participating, good luck with the finale!

WikiProject Wikify: Current Backlog Reduction Plan

Hey, I noticed you marked yourself as a member of WikiProject Wikify and you are currently listed as active. I was wondering if you would be able to assist with our current backlog reduction plan. While traditional drives are more structured month-long sprints by WikiProject Wikify members, there is currently lacking activity within the project and in order to significantly reduce the incredible backlog, members are encouraged to review all articles marked with the Underlinked Template Message - {{underlinked}} - a list of which can be found here - to analyze the worthiness of the template message on the given article. Articles that have nothing to link or are have had wikilinks sufficiently added should have the template removed to clear the backlog and make it easier for editors to find articles in genuine need of wikification. This can be done by any editor; however, all editors should consider joining if they haven't done so already. Thank you!

Quick note

Heya! I just noticed that you reverted one of the good faith, but bad quality edits with the rollback feature. Just a note, I'm pretty certain that you are only supposed to use them on bad faith editors. Thank you! ThatIPEditor (talk) 01:50, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi! I revert a lot of edits, could you be more specific? Cheers --Bailo26 Talk to me 01:54, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
I think I closed the tab. I also revert a lot of edits, so no way I can dig it out of history. Pretty sure they removed the whole infobox because a picture was broken (According to the edit summary at least). I personally would AGF on that, and consider it a good faith edit though. Thanks! (Also please ping, because I do not use watchlists) ThatIPEditor (talk) 01:59, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

The Wikimedia LGBTQ+ User Group is holding online working days in May. As a member of WikiProject LGBT studies, editing on LGBTQ+ issues or if you identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, come help us set goals, develop our organisation and structures, consider how to respond to issues faced by Queer editors, and plan for the next 12 months.

We will be meeting online for 3 half-days, 14–16 May at 1400–1730 UTC. While our working language is English, we are looking to accommodate users who would prefer to participate in other languages, including translation facilities.

More information, and registration details, at QW2021.--Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group 02:36, 27 April 2021 (UTC)

Sig uses obsolete font tags

Hey! Don't know if you noticed but someone fixed the lint errors in your sig at WP:UAA. They had to do this because your signature uses font tags which are now obsolete. The fix can be see in the dif that fixed the lint error. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 20:03, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
