Hello! Thanks for your contributions. Regarding the copyright status of Image:Tibbettibaba.jpg: you can't use the "self-created" tags if you have only scanned, rather than personally created, an image; the act of scanning does not create a new copyright. Can you tell us how old the image is, where it originated from, and (if possible) who took the photograph? -- The Anome 09:50, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:SAINT.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:SAINT.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 00:54, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:GURU 01.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Shell babelfish 17:10, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On the alumni of Scottish Church College

[edit]

I appreciate your efforts to include the names of previously unknown alumni to the list, and your effort is indeed notable. However, as there are certain standards that are relevant for a wikipedia article, which you have somehow overlooked. The names of the people that you have mentioned are interesting information. However there is no direct proof (either through a referenced text or through a website) that they had ever attended Scottish Church College. Most of the references to the alumni mentioned on that article are referenced, either in the separate wikipedia articles on them or any referenced website, or book. Birendra Krishna Bhadra, Upala Sen and Mohanananda Brahmachari are no doubt great people, but you have provided no proof that they had ever attended Scottish Church College. The only statement that we have is yours -- an individual statement which is not referenced in any way. And as such the possibility of biased viewpoint cannot be ruled out. Thus without proper references, these names are in their current state, not proper to be included in the wikipedia article. It would be better still, if there were separate wikipedia articles on them, which could be later linked to the text.

Also I would also request you to refrain from including your name in the main article as there are many contributors, not one.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Soham Swami may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Notice

The article Tibbetibaba has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced, no evidence of notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 28 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Well, an article may be based on primarily based on booksin Bangla ( Bengali) language. All source books cannot be only in English. The person who first removed the Reference books mentioned in the original article may have not read the books. The person concerned (Tibbetibaba) has a lane in his name in Howrah City and his famous figure in the locality. Mere deletion of the article cannot efface the importance of the person in India and Bengal state. Badshah165 (talk) 14:08, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
