Elvis Presley

[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Elvis Presley. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. LaraLove 06:51, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see you have deleted most of my links. I don't see where they are so much different from a lot of the site links I see. Heavens Gates is registered as a nostalgic educational site by Augusta County, Virginia, but any way I see you missed a couple, you might as well get them too, one in Bluegrass and Kelsey Briggs Blessings, Back2the50s (talk) 17:43, 27 March 2008 (UTC)John[reply]

Hey John, I'm not sure you have a specific question here, please replace the {{helpme}} template if you do. You may want to read WP:ELNO, as I suspect this is the reason why some of your external links were deleted from Elvis Presley. Hoof Hearted (talk) 18:11, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}}

Hi Hoof Hearted. Not just Elvis. In the last two days, links have been deleted from Patsy Cline, Country Music, Priscilla Presley, Dancing With The Stars, Kathy Westmoreland, Oldies. That Silver Edge is rough on a fellow, I was just letting her know she did miss a couple. She might as well delete everything if I'm so wrong in adding anything to wikipedia.

Hi! It has been determined that the site to which you were adding links to, [1], is not appropriate as per WP:ELNO - as it "does not provide a unique resource beyond what the article would contain if it became a Featured article", and appears to be a personal web site, which is also not permitted.
