Duplicate account
[edit]I take it you are also the owner of the User:Babelfisch account? If so, it looks like you are in violation of WP:DOPPELGANGER. Please choose one account to use. Thanks, Number 57 12:25, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
- Wikipedia asked me to connect my accounts across different language versions. I said yes. It was an accident. --Babel fish (talk) 15:11, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
- So I assume your current account is the unified one and you will have to stop using the other one? Number 57 15:22, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
- The connection of en:User:Babel fish and de:Benutzer:Babel fish was a mistake: the connection should be between en:User:Babelfisch and de:Benutzer:Babel fish, but I don’t know how that can be corrected. On the English Wikipedia, I generally use Babelfisch and I avoid using “Babel fish”. Are you seriously accusing me of “sock puppetry” or any other “crimes”? --Babel fish (talk) 12:42, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
- Not at all, it was quite clear that you were the same user, it's just that you can't use both accounts. You can always ask at meta:Help:Unified login (however, my experience is that it's not possible to link accounts with different names unless you rename them first – unfortunately now you've created this one, I don't think it's possible anymore (I lost an account on another Wikipedia a few years ago because of this)).
