Re: "That's a mighty impressive piece of prose"
[edit]FYI: Waya sahoni has now deleted the RfAR text you commented on, so your comment appears to refer to nothing. —Steve Summit (talk) 04:47, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- He seems to do that a lot. I'll strike out the part that doesn't apply. Thanks. --BWD (talk) 04:49, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
GA state flag SVG
[edit]Thanks for your comment. I was trying to speed along the conversion from flag PNGs to SVGs. I'm aware that the colors looks a wee bit funky. As we speak, I'm trying to fix the color once I find the GA state specs. - Thanks, Hoshie | 10:32, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
Successful RfA
[edit]Thanks for your support on my recent RfA, which I am pleased to say passed with a final tally of 80/1/1. If you ever need any help, or if I mess something up as an admin, please let me know. |
I'm an admin now!!
[edit]Thanks for voting on my RFA and helping me become an admin. The final tally was 108-0-1 (putting me on the WP:100 list). I hope to do my best in upholding the integrity of Wikipedia. Thanks again, Gator (talk) 13:25, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
My RfA
[edit]Thank you for your support in my RfA.
Sadly, my RfA failed (on my birthday out of all days!), mainly due to it's closeness to the previous one. I hope that in any future RfAs I'll have your support!
Nonetheless, if I can do anything for you don't hesitate to ask me.
Have a nice St Patrick's Day!

My RFA withdrawal :(
[edit]Hello BWD, it is my apologies to bring you that I've withdrawn my RFA. Due to the lack of experience, I would go under admin coaching first before trying again later. I would thank you for your vote in this RFA whether you voted support, oppose or neutral for me. I appericiate your comments (if you do have) you made and I hope to see you here in future. --Terence Ong 05:56, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
AfD, PROD'ing, and speedy deletions.
[edit]Hello. I agree, the most efficient way to remove two-liner articles is to propose them for speedy deletes. However, it is my experience that authors who are really attached to their subject (especially in the case of a guy who writes about a non-notable wrestling league and then spams every wrestler he can think of) they will remove PROD and speedy tags. AfD ensures they get deleted. Ifnord 19:43, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
- An admin who sees that speedy candidate will reject it out of hand because an AfD has been opened on it. It's best to first mark it as speedy and then take it to AfD if that fails or if there is a dispute with the original author. --BWD (talk) 19:46, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
- Not quite. An admin may still delete it then simply close the AfD. It happens. Ifnord 19:47, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, ok. Whatever works. Those articles will be deleted regardless of the method used. Have a nice day! --BWD (talk) 19:49, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

Wikigadugi.org
[edit]Following your involvement in the Waya Sahoni/Bookofsecrets debacle, I was wondering if you had taken a look at wikigadugi.org. Jeff and Donald have copied the entirety of the Wikipedia to Jeff's servers at merkeylaw. They are not redistributing the content under GNU and have stated that content from their pages may not end up on the Wikipedia. Take a look around the place and let me know what you think. Thanks again for the first vote of support on my RfA! — Scm83x hook 'em 09:46, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

Proposed Georgia Move
[edit]As a past participant in the discussion on how to handle the Georgia pages, I thought you might be interested to know that there's a new attempt to reach consensus on the matter being addressed at Talk:Georgia (country)#Requested_Move_-_July_2006. Please come by and share your thoughts to help form a consensus. --Vengeful Cynic 04:14, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

HDI RoK
[edit]Yeah, you're correct but the HDI ranking page had it mixed up or it was vandalized...I thought the previous ranking I edited was much too low but the reference that was originally listed on the SKorea page wasn't working so I couldn't double check. Thanks. Also, if you want to help me put all the arrows for the HDI's , , that would be great but remember that when it says HDI year, it is implying what year the data is from rather than what year the report finally came out. So I've been changing the HDI years to 2004 using the 2006 page rankings. Hope this clears things up. ArchonMeld 05:45, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:CoastalPetRescueLogo.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:CoastalPetRescueLogo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 21:42, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Chatspace
[edit]An article that you have been involved in editing, Chatspace, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chatspace. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Schuym1 (talk) 23:33, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Chatspace, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Alexius08 is welcome to talk about his contributions. 23:57, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. For the Election committee, MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:37, 23 November 2015 (UTC)
The article Savannah Christian Preparatory School has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Zero sources, no evidence of notability
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. AusLondonder (talk) 18:13, 4 March 2024 (UTC)
