Re: Byakuya
[edit]Well, it isn't exactly said outright, but after Ichigo turns into a Hollow during the Ichigo vs. Byakuya fight is the point where Byakuya starts showing the greatest amount of resentment. You can see it during the Bount filler arc, where Byakuya keeps telling him to get the hell out, but he never thought of Ichigo as anything more than dust to be swept until his Hollow showed up. ZKC Suggested Simplification
[edit]I am taken aback, Azuka . . . but in a good way. I am happy that you have elected this approach to get in touch with me instead of unilaterally making your own revisions like another editor/user has done in the past. There was one instance that this editor/user deleted half the text to an episode synopsis (along with its meaning) to teach me a lesson. I have tried to reach out to him to let him explain his perspective on what I am doing wrong and how to correct it but have not been successful as of late. It seems that this rivalry has calmed down somewhat as I have demonstrated more of an attempt to not be so pedantic and verbose with my synopses which I revise several times after initially posting them. You can see that for yourself on the Editing History of the Episode page. I am a bit concerned about him since he has not done much to the new synopses that I have added . . . I hope that nothing has happened to him in RL.
At any rate, Azuka . . . what exactly do you have in mind?

I have my reservations . . .
[edit]There is a threshold for simplifying and emasculating, Azuka. Your offered example is the latter. Kaoru being a psychokinetic is an important fact. On a personal note, it does burn me up that Kaoru is hardly ever punished/held accountable for her poor conduct during the series . . . at any rate, the character descriptions are supposed to be somewhat descriptive . . . still, maybe there is a technique for defining the characters' personalities and backgrounds that entices the reader to investigate viewing the series.
What about the episode synopses? The Episode 13 synopsis is the first one that Juhanchi (hope I spelled his name right) has not completely rewritten after I added it. I have added the synopses from Episodes 14 through 32 . . . do you think that they can be improved upon?

ZKC Sandbox -- Nice Idea ^_^
[edit]I think that I unintentionally came across as a bit abrasive and I am very sorry about that. I got back from a Thanksgiving furlough with my family. While the individual personalities of my family members are not unpleasant, the collective personality is why I hate proximity with them. My parents are not evil people, but they have no clue about how the world really works. Even if you have a post-doctorate as a brain surgeon, it does you no good if you cannot convince anybody to pay you a fair living wage for that knowledge.
Still, this is not the forum for that. Now that I have some distance from it, I can see how my contributory text can sometimes come across as a bit cumbersome and awkward. I think that setting up a sandbox like what you suggested is a wonderful idea. I got into quite a spot with Juhanchi over how I liked to be rather descriptive with the ZKC episode synopses; while it seems that he and I have come to an understanding, Juhanchi was rather childish about the whole thing and unilaterally edited my revisions with such abandon that it bordered awfully close to vandalism at times. Working out our differences in a sandbox would have helped Juhanchi and me to understand each other. The fact that I was new to Wikipedia when this was happening only amplified matters. Now all that needs to be worked out is whether you set it up with the revisions to what you think need to be revised and I respond to it or the inverse.

I saw the sand box
[edit]Argh, the Wikipedia server is being so obtuse today!!! Anyway, Azuka, I saw what you left for me on my talk page and I will look it over after I get straightened out here in RL

Proposed Revision Appraisal -- Kaoru
[edit]Your proposed revision is not half bad, Azuka. There are a few grammatical flaws that will need to be corrected, though.
- A ten-year-old Level 7 esper.
(This is a sentence fragment.)
- Kaoru is the most reckless of "The Children" and often tends to act without considering the consequences.
(This sentence uses two different techniques to convey the same idea.)
- Her specialty is psychokinesis.
(This important fact could be streamlined into a sentence with its two predecessors better than it is. Below is one method I have found to do this.)
- Her social sense of prudence and practicality somewhat polluted by her own immaturity and her Level 7 psychokinesis (the maximum esper potency designation), ten-year-old Kaoru Akashi is the zealous and spontaneous member of "The Children" Special Esper Team alongside Shiho and Aoi whose nuclear family is her elder sister Yoshimi and her mother Akie who are so devoted to their careers that they neglect to spend time with her because they are frightened of her powers.
- See how that was done? What follows is below.
- Ever since she took the initiative to approach the anxious and apprehensive Shiho and Aoi in friendship when she was given over to B.A.B.E.L. five years ago, Kaoru has bonded with her teammates into a clique that is both B.A.B.E.L.'s most valued asset and its most troublesome liability when she either goes overkill with her powers or makes a careless mistake while on missions. Examples abound throughout the Zettai Karen Children series of Kaoru telekinetically destroying entire buildings for no other reason than getting carried away during combat or simply being caught by surprise. Even if she leaves the building standing, Kaoru's appreciation for human life comes into question when she flies into a telekinetic frenzy that nearly crushes and grinds a criminal gunman to death who was too frightened to be any threat to Minamoto during one of her early missions.
- Below is the end.
- Kaoru initially rejected Minamoto's leadership until he shielded her from her own out-of-control telekinesis shortly after they met. She has since opened up to reveal a vivacious but lecherous tomboy that is not afraid to throw temper tantrums and generally be obnoxious if she thinks it will advance her volition. Even though she masks it by telekinetically shoving him around and generally driving him bananas, Kaoru has developed an intense infatuation with Minamoto as she jealously endeavors to keep him all to herself only to find that she is at a three-way stalemate with her teammates Shiho and Aoi.

Composition Crash . . . (-_-;;)
[edit]Azuka,
I looked over your proposed revision and found it to be very good once it is streamlined a bit. I will post the sandbox URL in a little bit. I have moved my attention to streamlining Aoi's character profile and I am at a loss to describe how Aoi has this . . . it is easier to describe with an example from the Zettai Karen Children series. In Episode 12 when Minamoto was charged the delivery of a clandestine and crucial payload, it is right after landing from their free-fall that Aoi does the pee-pee dance and gets embarrassed when Minamoto remarks that she has to pee . . . I am not sure how to describe that in general terms since Aoi also presents a tea-flavored bowl of rice to Ken in Episode 31 at her childhood home in Kyoto as she glares at him for being so obtuse.
- Even though she spends a lot of her time with her teammates and leader in Tokyo, Aoi has some social computation protocols from Kyoto that she charges to everybody acknowledgment and adherence thereof that suggests that she expects flawless emulation expected of a musical sight reader.
I would expound on that some more, but it is late at night and I think that I got the general idea across. Any ideas?

Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Azuka! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 137 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
