Criticism of Muhammad

[edit]

I've reverted your change to Criticism of Muhammad. The info seems to be well-sourced and relevant to the article, and your explanations on the talk page aren't satisfactory reasons to remove it. You may want to become more familiar with policies and guidelines here. Also, I've reverted your change to your own talk-page comment, which was first posted a month ago, because it can confuse people if you go back and start altering text. August 2011

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 13:11, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Understanding WP

[edit]

Hi, I added the "Welcome Mat" to the top of your talkpage which contains many useful links with information about Wikipedia, our policies, and how to edit here. One that isn't in that list but is still important is WP:NOTCENSORED. In short, WP was built as a knowledge base and is intended to be as complete as possible, so we don't remove information simply because it might hurt someone's feelings or because some groups might object. I hope this explanation helps, and I hope the links and tools above will be useful. Good luck and happy editing, Doc Tropics 13:55, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
