Thank you for your work
[edit]On Wikipedia, there was very little information and especially no pictures of most places in Somalia. Thank you for your contributions, it really helps people like me in Canada to get a clearer picture about some cities and regions of your country which used to be very obscure. Keep up the good work! 2607:FEA8:8400:1E9D:2CA3:3C41:B550:9AB2 (talk) 16:41, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
Thank you, I really appreciate it. I try my best to put up the best information and pictures of Somalia here in Wikipedia. Ayanle 18:35, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for June 29
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ayr (clan), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sool (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Guriel, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Please do not add or restore content to this article unless providing a corroborating reliable source for each claim. Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 23:17, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
I will try even harder to cite a reliable source for every little contribution I make from now on and I will also restore some sections of the Guriel article, but only those that have reliable sources. Ayanle 18:02, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
If you do not follow wikipedia rules, including use of WP:Reliable Sources and WP:No Personal Attacks, you may face WP:Administrator action, including sanctions including being WP:Blocked from editing. Buckshot06 (talk) 01:25, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
I get the first part about ”reliable sources”, but when did I ever attack someone on Wikipedia? I refrain from such attacks so I don't know where you're coming from with this. Ayanle 17:44, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
Problem with your custom signature
[edit]You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.
The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.
The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.
- Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
- Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. 05:12, 13 August 2020 (UTC)

Image source problem with File:Guriceel 2018.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Guriceel 2018.jpg.
This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.
While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.
If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:49, 10 March 2022 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 01:49, 10 March 2022 (UTC)

The file File:Guriceel Galgaduud Somalia.jpeg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
This photo is a distorted (stretched) version of File:Guriceel Galmudug Somalia.jpeg.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Wikiacc (¶) 22:15, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
