Your references do not support the content of the article. You should not reference to information about other people, just references that are actually about him. You say that he trained a group of people, but none of the articles you link to actually say that. I searched in Le Monde and didn't find the article you cite. I am unable to get into JSTOR today because something is broken there (it loses my password from one page to the other), but from what I can see all that you show is that he translated some works. That isn't enough for notability. There need to be significant sources about him. The http://www.awu.sy/ site has only a few sentences.
