Incorrect change to Rand Paul
[edit]I removed your incorrect and unreferenced change to the Rand Paul biography, saying that Paul favors exceptions for rape and incest. This is exactly the opposite of what the cited sources say. - Avengednightmario, the problem here is two-fold.
Firstly, this is a biography of a living person and as such we have to be extremely careful in how we represent them. I'm sure that you would not like someone to write something that might be wrong or misrepresente you on the internet, and you can assume that the same applies to others. Obviously, there are potential legal issues with such things also.
Secondly, there is the issue of consensus, which is a guiding policy here on Wikipedia. You need to have agreement for any changes made to an article and sometimes it is necessary to talk it through in order to get that. Sometimes you'll find that you cannot get what you want even when you do talk, but repeatedly changing things to suit what you think is correct without actually finding out what others think is never going to work. It usually ends in edit wars and sometimes in administrative actions such as blocks. You are completely stuck if you are blocked, and surely that is worse than at least having some sort of voice here?
I am assuming that you know of our policies regarding verifiability, reliable sources and neutrality. If not, then please read those three links and then, if you still believe that you have a point, discuss the matter at Talk:Rand Paul. That article is apparently quite contentious so please, please ensure that you talk only about the content and not about those who are editing the thing.
