Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Trammel Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", and "WidgetFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Bridges Ventures, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.bridgesventures.com/about-us/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bridges Ventures requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Aung2015. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Bridges Ventures, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Drm310 (talk) 15:18, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Above, you were directed to read our policies regarding conflict of interest. While it is possible to write about subjects with which you are closely affiliated, it is difficult. This draft you have written will likely not pass copyright violation detectors, and is written in a highly glowing style. This is a case point in why it is so difficult; people closely affiliated with a subject have a very difficult time separating themselves from their inherent bias. I don't mean any pejorative here, just human nature.

There are content issues here as well, in that there are a slew of external links in the prose of the article. This is almost like a link farm. At least one piece of information is wrong.

Of extreme importance: Are you being paid to create this article in any sense? If so, you must read Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 13:54, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello Aung2015. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a black hat practice.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Aung2015. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Aung2015|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message. --Hammersoft (talk) 14:28, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Is any of the written language on my post (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Bridges_Ventures_LLP) promotional??

Thanks! Aung

Aung2015 (talk) 17:08, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing overly promotional, from what I can see. The reviewers' main issue was with sourcing (or lack thereof). Primefac (talk) 19:37, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Primefac! It was mentioned to me on another admin's talk page, so just wanted to get a second opinion

Hello Wikipedia! I placed my post request in the request article page (3-4 weeks ago) and am wondering what the process is now?

Thanks Aung

Aung2015 (talk) 15:18, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The draft was reviewed, but unfortunately was not accepted at this time. The reviewers left comments on what needs to be improved on the draft page. Huon (talk) 15:56, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Huon,

Thanks for the feedback ! What I meant is that I left a request on the page where you leave requests for pages to be written by other more experienced editors, around 3-4 weeks ago, and guess I was wondering what the lead time was, if a request was successful that is. If that makes any sense!

Best

Aung2015 (talk) 16:16, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for misunderstanding the question. Unfortunately the "Requested article" process is a very slow one since you basically need to wait for an editor interested enough in the topic to take up your request and invest the significant effort required to write a new article. There is no way of telling how long that may take. Huon (talk) 16:24, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, many thanks Huon
