Hola Gonzaka

[edit]

— Preceding unsigned comment added by Alvaromartinezcantos (talkcontribs) 15:29, 22 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Title of the article "Real Oviedo Vetusta"

[edit]

Hi Asturkian. I think that the name of the article "Real Oviedo B" should be changed to "Real Oviedo Vetusta" because it is the name officially used by the club. Although to register for a competition, the team cannot use a different name than the first team, however, the name "Real Oviedo B" is also not an official name of RO Vetusta, instead, the official name for Vetusta will also be "Real Oviedo", because it is not the team who has a name to participate in the competition, but rather the club. Also, the title of the article of Elche Ilicitano, Deportivo Fabril, Recreativo Granada, Atlético Malagueño and etc. all use the name differ to what the club has, so I would suggest that change the title back to "Real Oviedo Vetusta", thank you. Asturias v Catalonia

[edit]

Hi, thanks for the message. I am skeptical too, particularly when I looked for the games and also found the Sporting v Barcelona cup fixture on that day. The three games are listed in the 'selecciones Catalans' website or whatever it is called (here), and at the RSSSF page (here), which is usually a reliable site, but in this topic they have listed the Wikipedia page for the Copa Principe as a main source for their list! And they also missed or incorrectly named a few other Catalonia matches that I was able to verify elsewhere. I would definitely agree that those matches aren't part of the Copa Principe but presumably some kind of friendlies were played. Maybe the dates were recorded wrong and it was a month later? I'll have a look for that. I have no problem with you removing them from the Asturias and Catalonia match lists until me, you or someone can get better proof of what these matches actually were, if they were played at all. 17:42, 5 April 2019 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Category:Gijón Baloncesto managers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Levallois Metropolitans.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Levallois Metropolitans.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Hello WOSO editors! What a 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France! There has been a lot of activity on tournament- and player-related Wikipedia articles with all of the worldwide coverage of the tournament and its players. Let's keep the momentum going.

Get all the info here: Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/Meetup/126

Sign up and help fill in the gaps within various articles related to women's football / soccer - whether they be players, teams, leagues, historical, administrators, referees, etc. Every little bit helps. Be sure to tag your article talk pages with {{WIR-126}}.

These edit-a-thons are a great way to work with others to help bridge the gender gaps on Wikipedia. Thanks for your contributions!

Did you know...

WP:GNG takes precedence over WP:NFOOTY (which only includes the players in two currently active women's leagues)? Often times there is enough media coverage that meets WP:GNG or other notability guidelines. For more information, see WP:WOSO#Notability and be sure to tag the new article talk page with: {{WP Women's sport|footy=yes}}

Segunda Femenina

[edit]

Hola Asturkian.

August 2019

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:2006 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship Division C a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. — JJMC89(T·C) 01:37, 4 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Attendance

[edit]

Hey, for the eurobasket it's here and CL here. Click on a game, go to boxscore and scroll down. Those can be found for the FIBA tournaments if you go in the drop down menu on "more/about" then on "live score widget". The numbers are different for every tournament. Not every game has an attendance listed. Kante4 (talk) 07:49, 4 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted edit

[edit]

Hi! I noticed you reverted my edit on ACB contests where I had linked Brian Jackson. That's fine by me, I will not revert it back – I just don't understand why can't there be red links, I've been editing on wiki for more than 10 years and I have always followed Wikipedia:Red link, meaning that if I know that an article is notable, I will link it even if doesn't exist yet. Anyway, I am currently working on the article on Jackson and it should be ready soon. Let me know if you think I did something wrong.
