[edit]SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot (talk) 20:41, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
Swine Flu Userbox
[edit]No problem. Thats what I'm here for! Lightening up wikipedia one edit at a time! I noticed your don't have one on you page though...Drew R. Smith (talk) 01:05, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for joinging. We have only a few truly active members though, and I've kinda taken over as the old leaders are retired and no-one is really trying to stop me... I'm working on getting the newsletter running again. Please feel free to work on anything in the taskbox. We are trying in particular to clean up the requested articles area. I hate looking up an out of the way fish only to find there isn't an article. What are your paticular strengths that could come in handy? Ex. I consider myself a pretty goodd writer, so I stick mostly to creating new articlse. Other people who are good with coding could work on the newsletter thing.Drew R. - I see. Well thank you for contributing to the tetra page, I would probably keep it on the list though if you think it could use more polish.
- A little about me. I have been keeping fish for four years, and have ket many different species. Like everyone I started out small, with a molly, a few guppies, and my chinese algae eater that the store owner said was docile. The algae eater was great for a month, and then killed three guppies and my molly leaving me with one guppy. I seperated the algae eater and bought a swordtail and some tetras. These are the fish I currently have, and they have all survived for about four years. Over the years I have tried my hand at a few "specialised" species such as the spiny eel, jewel cichlid(which, I might add is like charles manson with fins), and seahorses. After the seahorses died I decided never to get a fish without knowing EXACTLY how to care for them. I read a few books on them and figured I'd be good. A month later they died. My guess is I didn't have enough seahores in the tank. They are community fish. I had three, and figured that would be enough. I joined wikipedia after finding no article on another specimin I want to try my hand at, the violet goby. I've been researching them for months now, and finally feel I can properly care for them. And now they are gone from the pet store. Supposedly for another year they said.
- Anyway, sorry to ramble. Have fun editing, and good luck with not catching that swine flu thing.Drew R. Smith (talk) 01:37, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

New medical organization
[edit]Hi
I'm contacting you because, as a participant at Wikiproject Medicine, you may be interested in a new multinational non-profit organization we're forming at m:Wikimedia Medicine. Even if you don't want to be actively involved, any ideas you may have about our structure and aims would be very welcome on the project's talk page.
Our purpose is to help improve the range and quality of free online medical content, and we'll be working with like-minded organizations, such as the World Health Organization, professional and scholarly societies, medical schools, governments and NGOs - including Translators Without Borders.
Hope to see you there! --Anthonyhcole (talk) 21:15, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
The Wikipedia Library now offering accounts from Cochrane Collaboration (sign up!)
[edit]The Wikipedia Library gets Wikipedia editors free access to reliable sources that are behind paywalls. Because you are signed on as a medical editor, I thought you'd want to know about our most recent donation from Cochrane Collaboration.
- Cochrane Collaboration is an independent medical nonprofit organization that conducts systematic reviews of randomized controlled trials of health-care interventions, which it then publishes in the Cochrane Library.
- Cochrane has generously agreed to give free, full-access accounts to 100 medical editors. Individual access would otherwise cost between $300 and $800 per account.
- If you are still active as a medical editor, come and sign up :)

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. You stated here that you are friends with Lindsay Burns, a senior vice president of the company. SmartSE (talk) 13:22, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
