Orphaned non-free image File:Luangmaul FC.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Luangmaul FC.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Armbrust, B.Ed. Let's talkabout my edits? 12:00, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited New Delhi Heroes FC, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Vice-captain (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Non-free rationale for File:Viva Kerala.png
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Viva Kerala.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Cloudz679 13:42, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
Please note that the chance this logo meets fair use are remote, as this is not the current logo. Cloudz679 13:43, 1 March 2012 (UTC)

Hey there, you should really list the taskforce here so people are aware of it's existence & maybe consider making a welcome template so you can invite people to become members, here's an example that might help you create the Indian one. I can't help you with adding the task force to the project banner but I'm sure someone with the know-how will do it for you later today, anyway good luck with the taskforce. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 06:03, 13 March 2012 (UTC)

India national football team
Hi. Since you are a regular editor of the India national football team page, I thought I'd consult you about the player statistics as there are some contradictions. Right off the bat, it's unreferenced. For Baichung Bhutia, he supposedly has 43 goals but this says only 30. Having a look at all of the scorers for India's official matches from 1995 to 2000, he really only has the 12 goals which are listed on that source and not 25 which is listed on his article. Other goals he might have scored during that period might possibly for India's Olympic side?? For Pradip Banerjee, his international stats are unreferenced. Then there is the source on Shabbir Ali's page, [1], It says Having scored 35 goals in international matches, he still remains one of India's all-time top scorers, even ahead of celebrated names like Chuni Goswami, PK Banerjee, Inder Singh or Bhaichung Bhutia. It supports the argument that Bhutia has only 30 international goals and makes the claim of 65 goals for Banerjee inaccurate. Also, Shabbir Ali's 110 caps figure is also in question. If you look at India's list of official matches from 1974-84 [2] (which is his international career) there are less than 100 matches played. So I think that the entire section of top scorers and most capped should be removed unless these contradictions can be solved. Banana Fingers (talk) 17:57, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
- Just as always, you're gonna have to provide reliable sources for such claims. What I've provided you is from RSSSF. And RSSSF is definitely reliable. For Baichung for example, unless you can provide sources for his other goals and not just sources which say he scored x amount from year abc-xyz. Then for someone like me, I can only believe that he has 30 goals. Is that list of player stats from the Indian FA website still there? Also caps for the current squad, are those up to date? I mean, based on national-football-teams.com, the year 2008 has one match missing, against Chinese Taipei on 27 May. Players like Sunil Chhetri might be missing a cap and based on this source, he did play in that match and should actually have 59 caps. Banana Fingers (talk) 19:14, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
Hi, why did you remove {{2011–12 I-League table}} from this article and 2011–12 in Indian football? The template has a navigation bar on it so you can click to edit it, the template is used on multiple pages and means each page can be updated at the same time. Your rationale was "maybe next season but no now", why can't it be done now? I've re-added it in as I see it as a reduction of duplication and it means when the template is updated all articles using it are updated at once. Borgarde (talk) 06:50, 19 March 2012 (UTC)
Hi! I have deproded this article. I found many web based results in google for the cup thus proving it's existance and presence. Hence no reason for deletion. My intention of coming here was to just let you know that. But after coming here i found out that you are a football fan and you are active in editing sports related pages. Hence i am surprised now to see you tag that article for PROD!!! You might actually want to expand it and clean it. This might be useful. -Animeshkulkarni (talk) 20:04, 19 March 2012 (UTC)
- And hey.... even if the teams are now defunct or whatever, their articles need not be deleted. WP:NTEMP states "once a topic has been the subject of "significant coverage" in accordance with the general notability guideline, it does not need to have ongoing coverage". I found reference of Kerala State Football League and have added to the bottom of it's page. I have hence deproded it. I am not convinced with this reason of yours and hence i have also deproded your other two PRODs on The Street League and Agartala League. If you at all feel they should be deleted, you may always raise a AfD. -Animeshkulkarni (talk) 20:29, 19 March 2012 (UTC)

Manuel Gomes article content dispute
Hi, to try to avoid further edit warring, I've started a discussion on the content dispute relating to Manuel Gomes. The discussion can be found on the article talk page. Your comments would be appreciated. --Mrmatiko (talk) 10:37, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
Edit warring
Your recent editing history at Manuel Gomes (football coach) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. --Mrmatiko (talk) 18:39, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Pritam Kotal
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Pritam Kotal requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 07:06, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Pritam Kotal.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Pritam Kotal.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. ☼ 12:49, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
- If File:Pritam Kotal.jpg is your own work, as you claim now, why did you first attribute it to an external source and somebody else's licensing? Fut.Perf. ☼ 14:56, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Pritam Kotal.jpg
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on File:Pritam Kotal.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
- I agree that the image isn't a copyvio. However, we can't accept images whose owners permit them for use on Wikipedia only, and the simple "for wikipedia updates" on the Photobucket page is just that. If you contact the owner and convince him to make an explicit statement on the Photobucket page putting these images into the public domain or permitting their user under what Wikipedia calls a free license, then we can undelete easily. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on Hernán Crespo. Please comment on the content and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. You are welcome to rephrase your comment as a civil criticism of the article. Thank you. Please do not attack editors in your edit summaries, these are for describing the changes you have made. Cloudz679 06:02, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Hernán Crespo. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Alexf(talk) 23:11, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
