Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Arjun Dugar 2204! Your additions to Ashiesh Shah have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Tacyarg (talk) 18:04, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Aditi Dugar
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Aditi Dugar, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 2A00:23EE:11E0:97D9:8E8:48FF:FE08:51EA (talk) 23:23, 22 June 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, Arjun Dugar 2204, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Lizardy Wizard (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:06, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, sorry for the mixup, i will avoid doing this again in the future. But i assure you that i have no relation whatsoever with the subject and am simply writing about her as I am a fan of food and good restaurants and are looking for restaurants to write about from different countries of the world. Can i re submit this article? Will it be re-reviewed? Please give me advice on what i can do. Should i create a new article under the same name and submit again? please give advice Arjun Dugar 2204 (talk) 11:19, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
Another new account, User:Greenery174, has just created an identical draft at Draft:Aditi dugar, which I've just redirected to your original draft. This is mere minutes after you promised to stop using multiple accounts. When do you propose to really stop? 2A00:23EE:2610:548B:44AF:7EFF:FEFB:44CC (talk) 12:10, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
- All i wanted to do was publish an article related to a food. I recieved multiple notifications from wiki and there was a problem with my account. I switched to Lizardy wizard and posted. the resubmission thing didnt work so i posted it from my greenery174 account. Arjun Dugar 2204 (talk) 12:24, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
- why does wikipedia make it so complicated to post an article. I got a speedy deletion request that it why i deleted the conent from the original and created a new draft with the same content. Because i couldnt see why this was applicable. I followed all the guidlines and was neutral Arjun Dugar 2204 (talk) 12:25, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
- Can you give me clear instructions on what i can do for this draft to be approved Arjun Dugar 2204 (talk) 12:28, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
- You cannot go around creating multiple accounts and submitting the same content. Or rather you can, but don't be surprised if you then get flagged as a possible spammer or sockpuppeteer, because that's pretty much what they might do.
- And I hope you understand that when your username is Arjun Dugar and you're writing about someone named Aditi Dugar, it doesn't take a huge leap of imagination to think that you might be somehow related. Especially as the photo you added to Draft:Aditi Dugar was uploaded by you as your 'own work', and it clearly has been taken at fairly close quarters (if you have no connection, how do you otherwise explain that?).
- So I don't think it's so much a case of Wikipedia "making it complicated to post an article"; I think it's more that you're throwing up these red flags, and our job is to somehow get to the bottom of all this.
- As for getting this draft approved, it is no longer possible as it has been rejected and will not be considered further. If you feel that there are grounds for re-reviewing it, eg. if sources have come to light which weren't available at the time of the previous review, then your only option at this stage is to discuss the matter directly with the reviewer who rejected the draft. Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:51, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
- how do i message the person who rejected me draft Arjun Dugar 2204 (talk) 12:56, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
- The reviewer's name is shown in the rejection notice (the pink box on top of the draft page), and after their name is a link ('talk') to their user talk page. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:58, 23 June 2023 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Aditi Dugar (June 27)
[edit]I'll also mention that the draft is insufficiently referenced (eg. the 'Early life and education' and 'Career: Finance' sections cite no sources at all, raising the question where is all this information coming from?), and highly promotional in tone and content. These suggest COI editing, which has been queried but IMO not properly addressed.
For all these reasons, combined with the earlier rejection (after which this should not have been resubmitted, anyway), I am rejecting rather than merely declining this draft, to prevent any more reviewer time being wasted.
DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:48, 27 June 2023 (UTC)- It is not possible that out of all 37 sources none were notable. I think i included 2-3 biography articles also. And are you saying that if i fix everything and even if the article is perfect it will not be accepted again? Arjun Dugar 2204 (talk) 10:45, 10 July 2023 (UTC)
