Carus Chemical Company Wikipedia
[edit]Hello, could you help create a Wikipedia page of the Carus Chemical Company? Thank you Bond000777 (talk) 04:22, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Bond000777 I'm happy to help. What can I assist you with? aaronneallucas (talk) 04:36, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
- Hi,
- I noticed that Wikipedia does not have an article on the Carus Chemical Company, which I believe is a great danger. Therefore, I'm trying to either gather information to create a page or see if someone more experienced is interested in doing so. I have difficulty navigating/editing in Wiki's confusing software, so it would likely be better for someone else to take on this important challenge.
- Thanks Bond000777 (talk) 04:38, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but it does not seem like that topic would meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines, as nearly every source about the subject stems from a 2023 chemical fire. Most Wikipedians would want to have any sources related to that event merged into the article about the event, rather than in a new article. aaronneallucas (talk) 04:59, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- IMPORTANT:
- Hello, I just wanted to clarify that creating a wikipedia page for the Carus Chemcial Company does in fact meet and exceed all of wikipedia's guidelines, including notability. Also, it would make more sense to create a page about the Carus Company and then to have any subjects about the fire that occurred there to be in a tab on that page. Either way, the individual(s) who denied this draft were wrong to do so, and a new revised draft will soon be resubmitted and eventually approved. I ask other wikipedia users to help in creating such a draft. Bond000777 (talk) 02:49, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
- If you look at Draft:Carus Chemical Company, it's clear that you'd be doing all of the writing. But that's a generous offer you made, aaronneallucas. I don't think you want to spend your time doing PR for a company getting bad press. Liz Read! Talk! 05:18, 24 July 2023 (UTC)

The file File:Book burning in Tennessee in 2022.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fair use rationale for 2021–2023 book banning in the United States is now irrelevant, as it has been removed from that article under MOS:SHOCK.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. GnocchiFan (talk) 13:57, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Book burning in Tennessee in 2022.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Book burning in Tennessee in 2022.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:14, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
