Plot
[edit]Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer, accepts an offer from Jeremy Crawford that should not be refused: she must finish the three last books of a successful book series of Verity Crawford, Jeremy's wife and a best-selling author who got paralyzed after a car accident. After accepting, Lowen temporarily moves to their house
In the middle of Verity's office, Lowen finds an unfinished manuscript written by the author. After reading it, Lowen realizes that it should not be shared with anyone, since it has multiple pages of alleged confessions, starting on the day where Verity and Jeremy had met for the first time to the suspicious deaths of both of their daughters.
Lowen decides to hide the document from Jeremy, knowing that it would haunt him even more. But as Lowen's feelings for Jeremy intensify and her suspicion that Verity may not be paralyzed as she appears to be grows, she realizes that Jeremy should read the manuscript before things get out of hand.
