Kal Ho Naa Ho and LOBS
[edit]A gentle reminder on the Peer review, the link for which is here. — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 15:27, 24 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Ssven2: Thank you for the reminder. I will get to it today, but in the future, I will be scaling back my time on Wikipedia and will only be doing my own GAN/FAC projects so I will no longer be doing reviews in the near future. Aoba47 (talk) 15:42, 24 April 2019 (UTC)
- Understood. I know how taxing this place can be and I wish you the best in your future endeavours. — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 15:44, 24 April 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you and the same to you. You do wonderful work on here. Aoba47 (talk) 15:46, 24 April 2019 (UTC)
Do let me know if you wish to make any comments at The Legend of Bhagat Singh's FAC. Thanks. — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 18:03, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you for the comment. I was actually thinking about putting up comments, and I will do so later today. Hope you are doing well. Aoba47 (talk) 18:09, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you for your enquiry about my well-being, mon ami. I'm doing fine. Also, I've resolved your comments as per your suggestion at the FAC. Do let me know if there's anything else. Thanks. — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 09:51, 7 May 2019 (UTC)
"Saving Light" Featured article nomination
[edit]Hey, I just put up "Saving Light" for it's third featured article nomination, for the final goal for it to actually become a featured article and I am writing to you to see if you are able to comment on the nomination page to comment, support, or oppose the nomination. If you do, please add a good length comment on the nomination, pretty much saying what you think of the article and if it does or doesn't deserve to be a featured article. Thanks. FYI, this is a copy/paste ask, just to make it easier for me as I am asking this to multiple people. Micro (Talk)
- @MicroPowerpoint: Hello again, and I am glad to hear from you. I was actually just thinking about that article earlier this week. I am happy to see you try for the FAC again. I would make sure that the issues raised during the FQSR workshop have been addressed as I remember that it failed a source review due to issues with WP:RS, verification, and close paraphrasing. I have not checked the article to see if these points have already been addressed, and this is just meant as a gentle reminder about it. I am currently taking a break from reviewing anything on Wikipedia to focus on more off-Wikipedia activities. I am a pretty terrible reviewer anyway so it is best to get more experienced editors to look at the nomination. I will be primarily dedicating my time on here to my own personal work, but I wish you luck with this! Aoba47 (talk) 22:27, 25 April 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for taking the time to respond, I almost forgot about that workshop thingy, I'll have a full read through of it soon. I have skimmed through it and it's main points and I can say that the reliable sources issue shouldn't be a problem at all now. Every source currently in the article has been checked through, so i am very confident that they are all usable. While it is a shame to see that you will likely not make an appearance on the FAC, it is completely understandable as I am not a very good reviewer myself... Anyway, hope you do well in your off-Wikipedia endeavours. Micro (Talk) 23:09, 25 April 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you! Aoba47 (talk) 23:28, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

Cynthia Bailey
[edit]Your recent editing history at Cynthia Bailey shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. --A21sauce (talk) 20:13, 9 May 2019 (UTC)
- @A21sauce: An edit war? I would hardly call it that. Instead of escalating it to this, it would have been far more productive on your part to take the matter to the article's talk page (as I have suggest in one of my edit summaries). This seems to be unnecessarily dramatic. Aoba47 (talk) 20:16, 9 May 2019 (UTC)
- In your opinion. Reverting is already dramatic.: You've double reverted, I have yet to go there. Why did you even list this for copy editors when you have a particular sense of what the copy should be? Bringing in a third editor.--A21sauce (talk) 20:20, 9 May 2019 (UTC)
- @A21sauce: I explained my edits each time with an edit summary. I have put in requests for the guild for several years without any issue. You are the one escalating this by calling me "contentious" and then putting this big warning about starting an "edit war". I did not go after you personally by calling you "contentious". I disagreed with your edits, but I never crossed that line. Aoba47 (talk) 20:24, 9 May 2019 (UTC)
Thanks
[edit]Saw your WikiCup withdrawal request. I hope you continue to edit Wikipedia, but either way, thanks for all your great work here. ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:25, 9 May 2019 (UTC)
- @Another Believer: Thank you for the message! I definitely intend to continue to work on Wikipedia in the future, but I think it is time for me to take a wikibreak. I kept saying that I would, but I honestly could use on lol. I hope you are doing well by the way. It is always a pleasure to hear from you. Aoba47 (talk) 22:03, 9 May 2019 (UTC)
TFA
[edit]Thank you today for Faces (Star Trek: Voyager), "about an episode of the American science fiction television series Star Trek: Voyager. It is the 14th episode of the first season and was first broadcast by UPN on May 8, 1995. In this episode, a Vidiian scientist Sulan (Brian Markinson) separates B'Elanna Torres (Roxann Dawson) into a full-blooded Klingon and a full-blooded human in order to find a cure for a disease. The Voyager crew rescues Torres and restores her, while she attempts to reconcile with her identity as a half-human half-Klingon. It was developed as a character study to further explore Torres' internal struggle with her identity. Dawson was originally resistant to the episode, but later identified it as one of her favorite performances. It has also been the subject of racial criticism and study. The episode's final sequence garnered negative reviews from critics and fans for the lack of empathy shown to Torres by the rest of Voyager's crew."! - Enjoy your break! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:40, 10 May 2019 (UTC)

DYK for At Seventeen
[edit]On 17 May 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article At Seventeen, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that for the first six months that Janis Ian performed the song "At Seventeen", she closed her eyes because she was afraid the audience would laugh at her? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/At Seventeen. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, At Seventeen), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Eve Russell scheduled for TFA
[edit]This is to let you know that the Eve Russell article has been scheduled as today's featured article for July 5, 2019. Please check the article needs no amendments. If you're interested in editing the main page text, you're welcome to do so at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/July 5, 2019, but note that a coordinator will trim the lead to around 1000 characters anyway, so you aren't obliged to do so.
