hi

to avoid confusion at this early time, please would you remove the article you just created? thank you soibangla (talk) 00:31, 9 June 2023 (UTC)

@Soibangla: Why, is there another article being worked on at a different title? I haven't seen one but I could have missed it. Antony–22 (talkcontribs) 00:36, 9 June 2023 (UTC)
Please stop what you're doing. We're still using the Smith article for now. Let's not let this spin out of control. soibangla (talk) 00:38, 9 June 2023 (UTC)
@Soibangla: It's going to need to be split out at some point, especially since Trump is not the only potential target of the Smith investigation, and since the Smith article is already quite long. If I didn't create this article, someone else would have pretty quickly. I won't be offended though if you bring it to AfD or propose a merge if you feel strongly about it. Antony–22 (talkcontribs) 00:41, 9 June 2023 (UTC)

You made very quick and rapid changes that were not discussed and broke conventions that were established. See Talk:Prosecution of Donald Trump in New York#Requested move 2 April 2023. Engaging in WP:OTHERSTUFF arguments is best to be avoided here; Trump's indictment articles are not like others you may have seen. News references are currently calling this an indictment, as we have gotten past prosecution and that is not what is notable here. Addressing what you said here: the argument that it would be eventually created is no reason to create an article. elijahpepe@wikipedia (he/him) 00:45, 9 June 2023 (UTC)

@ElijahPepe: The indictment is the beginning of the prosecution—that is when the grand jury votes to press the charges. Once the arraignment happens on Tuesday, the title with the form "Indictment of ..." will become incorrect. This is what happened with the New York prosecution article, and it became a mess to clean that up. Let's start off this article with a title that's at least correct, the exact form is open to future discussion. Antony–22 (talkcontribs) 00:51, 9 June 2023 (UTC)
The indictment is, again, more notable here. Regardless, there was an established consensus that was completely ignored—to the extent that I am mulling over moving it back because dozens of editors discussed this before. elijahpepe@wikipedia (he/him) 01:02, 9 June 2023 (UTC)
@ElijahPepe: Where was this discussion? The one you linked was about using the title "Trial of ...", which isn't relevant here. Besides, you can't move the New York article back because (a) Indictment of Donald Trump is needed for disambiguation, and (b) there's an active RM right now. Update of the Electoral Count Act article

Hi – thanks for creating a separate article on the Electoral Count Reform and Presidential Transition Improvement Act of 2022 – that was probably a good idea. But parts of the Electoral Count Act article still need to be updated. For instance, the State determination of controversies section is written in the present tense and sounds as if the provisions it quotes from the Act are still in effect. I probably won't have time to systematically go through the article for a couple of days, and anyway you may have a better grasp of which parts of the Act have been superseded, so feel free to do it before I get around to it. Wiki Science Competition on enwikipedia

Hi, I don't know if the USA are having a national WSC competition this November, but as I did with User:Smirkybec here, since you have been so far the main user involved in the organization of a WSC national competition for an anglophone country, I inform you as well of this article I am preparing.

  • The draft is located at this page.
  • I have discussed the reasons for its potential inclusion in the proper navbox and other pertinent details about its connectivity here.
  • The content at the moment is primarily a translation of the Estonian wiki page, supplemented by sources from other countries.
  • It's not finalized; changes and improvements are expected.
  • My time in the coming weeks is limited, I encourage edits and suggestions specifically since I am not touching it now.

So please feel free to review, edit, or suggest changes. Your insights and contributions as a more expert enwiki user would be greatly appreciated. Alexmar983 (talk) 13:59, 17 August 2023 (UTC)

FYI, I moded it to draft few days ago. --Alexmar983 (talk) 19:51, 12 September 2023 (UTC)

NY court seals

Thanks for uploading the New York seals but I think there is an easier way to add it rather than doing it manually. If you add that new seal to the infobox syntax for court cases, it should come up automatically on every one that has NY court listed (NY Supreme Court etc.) The C of E God Save the King! Thanks, I didn't know you could do that. Antony–22 (talkcontribs) 21:09, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
