Disambiguation link notification for July 17
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Julia Michaels, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Zedd. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, AnonymousMusician. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. People with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, see the conflict of interest guideline and frequently asked questions for organizations. In particular, please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, its competitors, or projects and products you or they are involved with;
- instead, propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the
{{request edit}}
template); - avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing, and autobiographies. Do you have a COI? Widefox; talk 09:41, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
- There's no answer to this on my page. Did you see this question? Widefox; talk 14:05, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
- I'm sorry I didn't answer this, as it seems to be the most important part of it all: I have no personal external relations with either Mako or Arston (the artists about whom my drafts were about, pre-deletion). I have, however, communicated with Mako in 1 or 2 tweets (communicated as in them replying to my tweets). The only Wiki-related one was asking about one of their songs' chart history. However, I have never communicated with Arston under any circumstances. AnonymousMusician (talk) 22:15, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
- Sorry, does that mean you have no connection with them - paid / unpaid / friend / colleague / etc etc . Do you have any connection with them, including through other parties i.e. per COI? (apart from a couple of tweets) Widefox; talk 00:41, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
- No, the tweets are the end of it. AnonymousMusician (talk) 01:01, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
- OK thanks, then I withdraw the question (was never an accusation), thanks for clearing it up. If you desire to continue work on the drafts, then they can be recovered by asking the deleting admin. Note that drafts won't normally be allowed to stay unchanged for more than six months (which one of them was). Please be aware that there's unusual account activity that is independent of your account (but editing overlapping articles), and that's why. If you want my help just ask, regards. Accusations of promotion
[edit](moved from my page) Widefox; talk 14:13, 26 November 2015 (UTC) Hello I have noticed that you placed a notice on my talk page which included questionable accusations towards my account. You stated that I was a promotion account (false) and that I was part of a group of such accounts (false, as I am not in touch with any other accounts which edit music articles), and implied that I expected compensation from the subjects of my drafts (false; this is a non-profit website and it is illegal to do so). However, this is not and has never been the case. I am simply trying to add articles to broaden the wiki's info on progressive house artists. I'd also like to ask you what exactly makes me a COI editor. Lastly, I realize that, given the actions taken against my account recently, I will most likely be suspended in the near future, so if that is the case, please consider this post to be my appeal. Thank you. AnonymousMusician (talk) 13:01, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
