Unexplained removal of content
[edit]I can defend that guys edit on the nofx page which you called "unexplained removal of content here[1] and here.[2]
Hoponpop69 19:00, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- That's fair enough. It would have been nice if the IP, who made the edit, had taken part in the articles discussion(by looking at his edit history) or at least mentioned it in the edit summary. But deleting sourced content without an explaination kind of sets off the alarms. AngelOfSadness talk 20:48, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit]My edits to Katie Hnida's page were completley accurate and truthful. If you want I could back them up with sources. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ANDREV303 (talk • contribs) 16:24, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- Sources would be great. But by the looks of it, the quote has been there for a while, so I doubt that whoever inserted it made a mistake in copy/pasting the quote from a reliable source. Also the page was protected yesterday because a lot of people where making similar edits to yours. But go ahead and find me about three good sources backing up the quote change. Thanks AngelOfSadness talk 16:30, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Maria Rivas
[edit]While I guess technically it is an edit war, it is the editor's insistence of using copyrighted material pasting from http://www.ejn.it/mus/rivas.htm, and my attempts to keep the article free of violations. Check article's talk page, this has been an ongoing problem, unfortunately, and the editor refuses to take the information into the talk page to allow others to properly re-write and cite it. Also, obviously a WP:COI issue, as the person stated to me she was the subject of the article. The editor also only made the name after being warned for copyvio issues 3 times on the IP. Sad, I wish she'd just take it to the talk page as I've requested, and let editors add the information that's appropriate. Ariel♥Gold 16:48, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- At least we were edit warring over something that could actually damage wikipedia and not something very little and trivial. I wish this person would stop ignoring wikipedia policies because it's getting very tiring. Anyway they got blocked for 24 hours for edit warring and the like. I'm going to keep the article on my watchlist and keep an eye on it in case she returns as an IP or a different account. Any point on getting the page protected? It might help getting it protected for about a week and maybe she'll go away when she can't edit it and hopefully will forget about it for now. AngelOfSadness talk 16:56, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Questiont
[edit]Hi. How exacly do I cite references? I tried out a few in the sandbox but I can't get them to work. Thanks :D MasseyMasseyMassey 19:54, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- WP:CITE and Wikipedia:Citation templates should help. Ariel♥Gold 19:54, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- P.S. the reason they would not work in sandbox is that it doesn't have a reference section. There must be a section that looks like this:
References
reflist
- That tells Wikipedia to render the references as footnotes properly. Hope that helps! Ariel♥Gold 19:56, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- What ArielGold said is the easiest/best way to do references. I made a references section on the Christopher Purdy article. Now all you have to do is add the webpages that you wish to reference e.g . AngelOfSadness talk 20:02, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

New box
[edit]I got super sick of that ugly brown "User since..." box I had, so I made my own pretty pink one!

code:

("Proud" if left blank, leaves it out so it just says "has been a user".)
What do you think? Ariel♥Gold 01:33, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ohh I love it. The brown one wasn't to my taste either. Now all I have to to is look up my logs to find out when I've joined and add this box proudly to my userbox page. Yay. AngelOfSadness talk 14:23, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Protoss
[edit]I actually was attempting to improve the Protoss page by making mass deletions. One of the problems wih the page was an overly-long plot summer and excessive backstory, both of which could be found by following the reference links. All the information on the Protoss page had been copy/pasted from the StarCraft War Manual and was completely unneeded. To save the page from deletion and leave the basic material available for people seeking it through Wikipedia (as obviously I was), I thought shortening the section would help. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ascian7 (talk • contribs) 16:52, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- My apoligies, I was very much mistaken. You were just making bold edits and I saw them as vandalism as it was unexplained removal of content. It would be best if you left a note on the articles talkpage before making bold edits. Other editors can easily make the same mistake I did. Also if you provide an explaination in the edit summary as to why you are removing the content (e.g Please see talkpage for explaination of content removal). The difference between bold edits and vandalism is doing these two things so other editors will not be confused. Happy Editing AngelOfSadness talk 17:04, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on TEH LULZ, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because TEH LULZ is pure vandalism; this includes redirects created during cleanup of page move vandalism.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting TEH LULZ, please affix the template hangon to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. CSDWarnBot 19:31, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ok I know about that. It was the one redirect that got away when cleaning up his mess. AngelOfSadness talk 19:33, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Since an editor thought I was a guy, lol, I made the "female symbol" into a pretty, feminine version, the one that existed was plain boring black and white. Check out my userpage, up at the top right corner to see it, and tell me what you think! Ariel♥Gold 20:09, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- Oh I like it. A few editors(mostly sockpuppets and vandals) have called me dude, man and buddy. You'd think they'd see that my userpage infobox says that I'm a female. Anyway I'd love to add something similar to my userpage so they(the few editors) have no excuse for calling me such names. AngelOfSadness talk 16:10, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Userbox
[edit]Well, don't take any of this negatively, please, lol. I will first say that I personally dislike animated images. That's a personal opinion, though. However, I'd suggest rewording it to say: This user reverts vandalism with lightning speed. The way it is now, it uses two prepositions together (at the) and uses the singular of lightning, with the plural of speed. Or, it could be worded "This user reverts vandalism at lightning speed.", or "This user revers vandalism with the speed of lightning." but I personally like the first wording better. I like the colors, but I'd use a darker shade of pink, the light pink is nearly invisible as text. Overall I like it! Ariel♥Gold 17:39, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- Don't worry I didn't :D. The colors were driving me mad. I was thinking the same about the pink in the text but when I changed it, it wouldn't match with the image or the border colour. I'll try out your suggestion with the text. I originally had "this user reverts vandalism at the speed of light" so I'm guessing that's why I forgot to eliminate the "the". My mind works faster than my hands at typing so I could be thinking one thing while editing something else and managed to forget about the "the". Thanks for pointing it out. It might have been six months before I noticed that it was wrong. AngelOfSadness talk 18:01, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, speed of light would work too. Wonder if there is an image of a star going supernova? That would work, lol. I'd suggest using #F64A8A for both the border, and the pink text. And the more I think about it, the more I like the "speed of light", because that's a much more interesting article than Lightning lol. I can go tweak it if you want, and if you hate it you can always revert, lol. Ariel♥Gold 18:06, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- Sure go right ahead and edit it. The more I try and fix it the more frustrated I get. Strange how I can get so worked up over something so small. :D AngelOfSadness talk 18:13, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

- See now if these were next to each other in the userbox gallery, I would be there all day trying to decide on which one to pick. I like the image change, as I originally liked the original image but got kind of sick of it after trying to get the colour to match with it. The still images definately make the colours decision easier. AngelOfSadness talk 18:27, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- Too many choices! Hee hee. Change it out every month! Ariel♥Gold 18:35, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yes. Choices are good!!!! Or change it depending on my mood. The more I look at the supernova one, the more I think it's a picture of a spaceship blowing up something fairly large(like it symbolises the revertion of vandalism). AngelOfSadness talk 18:41, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit]I don't understand why you have reverted my post on MegX's talk page. She has had free reign to accuse me of all sort of things and write untrue statements on this site. I am the second editor she has tried to intimidate, and you are supporting that. I am disappointed. - That message was on a subpage(looked like some sort of essay) of her userpage and it definately wasn't the talkpage. I don't know what the situation between you and MegX is and really I don't what to get involved in that. Anyway, I just reverted your edit as it wasn't on the talk page, I wasn't deleting it because I was supporting MegX's point of view or anything. Seeing as the message was on the userspace, it can be seen as vandalism so that is why I reverted it. Make sure that when you are trying to contact someone on wikipedia, that you put the message on their talkpage not their userpage or a subpage of their userpage(unless it states otherwise). All the best. AngelOfSadness talk 20:19, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Hey what is with getting rid of pages people make. I wasnt hurting anyone, talking bad about anyone, or lying about anyone. It was a joke between me and my friends. Have you ever heard of a joke before. Lighten up a litte there. By the way it was a real group I was talking about. We might have inflated some of the info but it was all in good fun.
- But creating an article for an non-notable band is grounds for deletion. Then you recreated it which was still ground for deletion. Then you created the article again but desided to attack the website. I'm failing to see the joke as I'm not laughing. If you continue to make edits like this you will be blocked. And no I'm not joking around here. Also, out of curiosity, why the assumtion that I'm an emo? Is it the username because that's actually the name of a folk/country song that I happen to like. Venus Doom
[edit]Awesome first message, anyhow, VENUS DOOM TWO DAYS, you rip for me >.>! Heh, all the rips online from the leaks are shitty as all get out, and did you ever get the LE? --NekoD 18:56, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- I don't have the money to get LE at the moment which really sucks but I do have enough to get SE on Saturday. Strange thing happened. Kiss of Dawn was supposed to be released last weekend and I searched every CD shop I knew, literally tore them apart(well not literally) and I couldn't find it. So now I'm looking forward to getting the album more than ever and have somehow fought the temptation to listen to them online since they got leaked. Stupid youtube links are everywhere so I'm staying away :D AngelOfSadness talk 19:01, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
JetLover's abuser
[edit]Hi there. - I saw this guy was a problem but I had no idea he has kept it up for all this time. I'll keep on the lookout for him. AngelOfSadness talk 20:41, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Here we go again...
[edit]Hey, remember the fun times we had with Melodic Horror? Well guess what. He's doing his thing again, from ip's. I found these two users have been editing according to his methodology. Just letting you know so you're aware... Gscshoyru 20:46, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- Oh yes, good times. I've learned a lot from the last time so now I'm tryimg to remember what I've learned :D. I was just thinking about himself a few days back because somehow I sensed he was returning. I'll check out the IP's for contributions/whereabouts in the world. If they're from Nuernberg Germany then we know for definate he's back and write up another sockpuppet report. Just checked the whereabouts and one is from nuernburg and the other is from Germamy but it doesn't know where. But I'll try to assume good faith as the contributions aren't exactly like melodic horrors, just some of them. (MH main ones were "To be loved", "Aslena", "Paramore Sessions" and "Papa Roach". But he is using the talkpages at least so you have to say he has learned a little from the last time or four(There was so many IP addresses). Thanks for telling me about it. I'll add MH main target articles to my watchlist and see what happens. I'm hoping that this doesn't turn bad like last time. AngelOfSadness talk 20:58, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- Now this one seems more like MH. And a few of other admins have seemed to pick up on it when blocking them. AngelOfSadness talk 21:05, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- Note the first two numbers of the range ip. (87.167) Compare with the others. With the fact that he's editing the same articles, I'd say they're all the same person. The ip's in the sockpuppets of AFI-PUNK category start with 87.167 as well. Gscshoyru 21:11, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- MH started off as AFI-PUNK so that's why all of the sockpuppet reports have AFI-PUNK as the master puppet. The third report of sockpuppetry was filed, completed and closed in the last few days. You'd think after, what, 5 months(AFI-PUNK was blocked in May) the guy would get bored and find something else to do. I now wonder what was he doing all of August as I haven't found any IP's in that range editing those articles. At least were not the only ones who have a problem with this guy as User:Seraphim Whipp and User:MastCell dealt with a lot of the recent MH edits. At least all of his target articles have been protected after the recent events. And if he wants to edit the articles he'll have to request an account which I'm hoping won't be accepted. But I'm watching the articles anyway. AngelOfSadness talk 21:23, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Eurocanna and Superquinn
[edit]Hi Angel. I just got a message from a user named Eurocanna who told me that he was slightly upset at the warning message you gave him after he edited the Superquinn article. You can read his message to me here. I think you made a mistake while patrolling with Twinkle, and left him uw-vandalism2 instead of uw-vandalism1. Maybe you should apologize to him :-) -- P.B. Pilhet 03:13, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- The contribution he made didn't look very constructive at the time as you can see here as it was original research/unsourced content. But now that I've re-read it I guess I must have clicked the wrong warning when using Twinkle. Usually I'm more careful but I was dealing with several different vandals and sockpuppets(My first/second/third sock report to be exact :D). I best apoligise to him as that particular warning was a tad bit harsh. Thanks for telling me really I appreciate it. AngelOfSadness talk 18:57, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- No problem :-) I figured that you were busy dealing with multiple things at the time. I use VandalProof myself, and I certainly have a good mistake count running ;-) Happy Editing! -- P.B. Pilhet 21:07, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ahh vandaltools, they make Vandal fighting easy but they don't prevent mistakes. Thanks again :D AngelOfSadness talk 21:23, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Deletions
[edit]Hi Angle,
Yesterday I attempted to link a web-page, www.runewolf.org, to several articles dealing with Nordic mythology and magic. These links were removed by someone other than yourself because they thought that the logo of the site looked like a neo-nazi promotion. This is not the case as I happen to know for a fact that the web-page, the information contained there, and the people involved, have absolutly nothing to do with politics. In fact, it is stated as such in the disclaimer. The logo in question, or at least elements of it, predate all of the that by about 1500 years! We, in fact, are attempting to link ourselves, as many others do here, to certain topics and ideas that are listed based upon relevancy.
So then my question, what can we do?
Thanks, Runvitnir —Preceding unsigned comment added by Runvitnir (talk • contribs) 13:32, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- See what you are trying to do, looks as though you're trying to spam wikipedia with a website in which you are connected with. Even if you don't intentionally mean to spam, it still looks as so. I looked the website you were linking and I can't exactly blame the other editor for removing the link, I mean the logo design(colours & formation), on the main page,is very similar to the Nazi Swaztika. If people look up the article about Nordic mythology and find a link which looks as though it's trying to promote Neo-Nazism, of course they are going to ask questions. I know there are many other editors are linking their websites to multiple articles aswell, but their actions are going against WP:SPAM. Also most of your contributions to wikipedia have been adding that particular link to articles which many editors can see as a spam only account. But all I can recommend is look at this for some info about spam and how not to be a spammer(it's a guideline generally followed by most wikipedians). Also I don't know much about that website's content/content of article to which you are adding the link, so before adding the link to any more articles, first bring up the link on the article's talk page so other editors can comment if the website will help the article.
One more thing, if you come across any other editors adding their website links or suspicious links to multiple wikipedia articles, please leave a message on my talkpage with their username and I can deal with them :D. Thanks for coming to me about this and if you are at all confused by all of this (above), feel free to post a message on my talkpage. Happy Editing! AngelOfSadness talk 14:43, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Listen
[edit]Angel of Sadness. We need a little Angel chat. It is very terrible to have my contributions erased. It makes me so angry. It was a simple joke. Was doesn't he post a nasty template like that on Assume Bad Faith? I don't care what he thinks. I'm ready report him soon.--Angel David 19:22, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- He's talking about me putting Template:Remove_the_empty_one that up for deletion, in case you're wondering. Gscshoyru 19:24, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- Stay out of this!--Angel David 19:30, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- I've had a few of my contributions deleted but I don't go around attacking the editors who deleted them. Your messages(yes I know there's more than one)don't really come off as a simple joke, it looks very much like incivility and an attack on the editor which is a huge no-no. Even if your angry at them, try to keep a cool head when editing. Seriously what you think is a joke doesn't translate to text very well. If you continue making messages like that, it will get you blocked from editing. So don't call people names or attack them because of their edits and you won't get blocked. AngelOfSadness talk 19:32, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- Don't worry Gscshoyru, I've been keeping track thanks to some of Angel David's edit summaries from earlier. It was kind of hard to ignore them from the RC. :D AngelOfSadness talk 19:42, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Charles Page High School
[edit]The revision that you made to the article, Charles Page High School, was not vandilism. The last name of the princepal at CPHS is Trout. Please be more careful when editing for 'vandilism'.--Μ79_Šp€çíá∫횆tell me about it —Preceding signed but undated comment was added at 03:22, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
- To be fair to AngelOfSadness, I encourage you to take a look at the contributing IP's edit history. If that edit was in fact not vandalism, it was the first edit from that IP that wasn't. Had I been the one to see that edit, I probably would have reverted it too and left a note at User Talk:24.248.250.170 requesting a WP:CITE citation. It's also possible she hit the "rollback (vandalism)" instead of "rollback" button accidentally. They're right next to each other in Twinkle. --Clubjuggle 04:11, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
- I reverted it mainly because I looked at the editor's contributions and a good chunk of them are clear blantant vandalism(they've been blocked 7 times for vandalism by the way). I might have jumped to conclusions, but what are the chances of an editor making both good faith edits and blantant vandalism ones. I mean I've never come across someone who does both and I've been on RC patrol every single day for the last three/four months for up to ten hours a day. It would have been nice if the editor at least put in a reference for the added content. But to me it looked like they were just inserting a random word as the pricipal's surname (bear in mind Trout isn't exactly known more as a surname than the fish). Even if they mentioned in the edit summary something like "It has been announced that Mr/Mrs Trout will be pricipal for the coming academic year" or "Trout is principal as confimed on the schools website". But there was nothing of the sort. The editor didn't leave an explaination to the change or a even a reference to the source of the information. So please forgive me for not thinking that this one edit was a good faith edit in the middle of forty vandalism ones. AngelOfSadness talk 19:06, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
i wasnt being destructive theres a band called solidarity and i wanted to add them —Preceding unsigned comment added by PaygeMARIEalexander (talk • contribs) 20:05, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
- But you deleted a whole load of the pages original content in the process. Also your edits were written in your point of view e.g "Solidarity is a hot Windsor, Ontario Canada band". Which clearly breaks WP:NPOV (articles are supposed to be written in a neutral tone). Also I googled the band and they only seem to have mentions on MySpace which would indicate that they aren't notable enough for their own article. AngelOfSadness talk 20:10, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Technically, he is allowed to remove warnings and block notices from his talk page; it's an acknowledgement that he has read them. Of course, he's not allowed to replace them with insults against you (or anyone else), but if he wants to rant and rave in his little hold while he's blocked... I'm planning to just let him do it unless he violates policy. -FisherQueen (Talk) 21:44, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ok. The last rollback was a reflex, as every other edit he made to the talk page was an insult of some kind. I'm just wondering what he'll do now. AngelOfSadness talk 22:03, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

- So now we have six and a half days to breathe easy. Good to know :D. I'm pretty sure that I'll be the first person he "contacts" after the block is lifted. Or he'll never come back. I guess we'll have to wait and see what he does next. AngelOfSadness talk 15:04, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- Most likely he'll have forgotten all about it by then, and moved on to writing his name on the boys' room wall. If he does come back, he's just as likely to come for me, the blocking admin, as you. In any case, it isn't that difficult to revert vandalism and block. Not as much of a big deal for us as the vandals would like. -FisherQueen (Talk) 15:12, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- I know vandals think that we spend the entire afternoon cleaning up just one of their edits(Like replacing the page with "Ha Ha I've ruined your page. Have a nice day" or something like that.(although not many vandals have ever said have a nice day, well not to me anyway)) . I can put your userpage on my watchlist if you like, just in case he decides to go on a final vandalism rampage under his current username. Hopefully he'll find something else to distract him. I mean how long can someone continue vandalising wikipedia without getting bored unless they have a very boring life to begin with, then they'll just continue on forever more. AngelOfSadness talk 15:23, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Signature
[edit]Hey AngelOfSadness!
Please would you consider tweaking your signature? The pastel-on-pastel approach is murder for those of us males with colour blindness! Thanks! ➔ This is REDVEЯS 19:09, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- I wouldn't know how to make the changes as someone else made it for me. But I'll try to edit it somehow. Now what colours exactly do not cause problems for people with colour blindness? AngelOfSadness talk 19:12, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- Better or worse? AngelOfSadness talk 19:20, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- Better for the contrast (for me!) But just darkening the letters a little to give some contrast would work too:
- With my colour blindness, the previous light green(?)-on-yellow has everything that could possibly go wrong for me! (The only thing worse is bright red on bright blue - the red disappears almost entirely). Each person's colour blindness (if they have it) is different, but a bit of contrast can usually get over it. Thanks for your understanding! :o) ➔ This is REDVEЯS 19:26, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- No problemo. I thought it was about time for a colour change in the signature anyway. Cheers AngelOfSadness talk 19:29, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for the barnstar. It's so pretty. AngelOfSadness talk 19:41, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Maybe a Tribute Username?
[edit]I just spied this in the new Username creation log: User:Angelofhatred, and since it was created shortly after you reported a Username for Administrator Attention (which was blocked), it looked suspiciously like a "tribute". I'll leave it up to your discretion as to whether any response is necessary. OfficeGirl 21:16, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- It could be a tribute Username as all of the usernames I made to UAA today were blocked (6 in total, a lot of them were very similar to each other). There have been a surprising amount of tribute usernames lately like here. It does sound plausible as I found that usernames that were blocked had other accounts with similar names less than two minutes later editing the same articles. Maybe we'll have to take this to an admin for advice because it could be a coincidence but then again it could be a tribute. AngelOfSadness talk 21:31, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- I guess it's a good idea to keep an eye on the username for contribs, and then also to check if the IP address matches the "Wikipedia Should end" user. Anyhow, I guess congratulations are in order...? OfficeGirl 21:47, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yay I've never had a "tribute" username before so this is very new. I've got Angelofhatred's contribs bookmarked on my browser and I will check it for any suspicious edits. If their edits are similar to that of "wikipdia should end" (like their spelling typos are very hard to miss :D) I will file a request for check user. Thank you for bringing this "tribute act" to my attention but they shall never be greater than the real thing :D AngelOfSadness talk 21:55, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Expressing POV's
[edit]Hello AngelofSandness. (why are you sad, anyways?) Did not mean to "vandalize" - just trying to express opposing viewpoints on the subjects on which I posted. Any ideas about a better way to do that online for the whole world to read? Thanx! :-) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.27.155.94 (talk) 22:49, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- Well an explaination of my username is on my userpage. If you want to express your viewpoint, I suggest that you make a blog or a video blog and post it on youtube. Wikipedia is not a place to broadcast your point of view on various subjects. Hope that helps AngelOfSadness talk 23:03, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
Vandalism?
[edit]I did not vandalize the page, I just "unlinked" the word: Indian. That article had absolutely nothing to do with Indians at all.
If that is vandalism, this would be also:
- 1. Cats like to drink milk. Cats like to drink milk.
- 2. Cats like to drink milk. Cats like to drink milk.
I am therefore going to revert the page back to my version.--168.103.242.198 20:58, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
- Your edit in itself wasn't vandalism but could you kindly explain the edit summary. AngelOfSadness talk 22:14, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Nice!! :D At least whoever reverted it didn't bother giving you a warning or something. You know what I made a few days back, a subpage of most of the insults/personal attacks I've gotten while editing wikipedia. So far it only covers my userpage, talkpage and a few mainspace edits and it is completely uncensored. Anyway, what do you think of the new HIM album? * says the following in a very bad posh british accent* I find it's really top drawer :D.*end of britishness*. It somehow managed to get #36 in the Irish album charts despite a complete lack a promotion over here. Seriously, I haven't even seen KOD being played on Kerrang! TV or any ads on tv promoting that the album is out now (there was one for dark light. I remember it....like it was two years ago). AngelOfSadness talk 13:35, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Even though it is original it wasn't made by a very pissed off vandal who I gave out to or a pissed of vandal who managed to find me without me ever talking to them. And am I? Am I really? :D. I will agree that the new album is great but is it really nessesary to call the unsatisified fans horses(only horses say nay or neigh(I can't remember the spelling)). Sure they need to get their ears checked and whatnot. Anyway, most fans seem to accept it (judging by the reactions on the heartagram forum and valo daily) so they should get at least gold in the US. - Thank you so much for your kind words. They really mean a lot :D. Maybe over Christmas or Easter, depending on my workload of course :D. I'm studing to become an architect but I'm at the beginning stage of it(So many choices. What to pick, what to pick). Architecture isn't the easiest to get into in Ireland(it needs six A1's in the Leaving Certificate(state exam which everyone in the country takes). So I might be slightly preoccupied with that for the next two years(except the holidays of course). And I will do :D AngelOfSadness talk 15:57, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

- People are always gunning for me but I rather that the userpage be unprotected because a lot of the vandals edits are quite humourous and original. But if it becomes so ridiculous that I can barely revert one edit and another has happened, then I would file to get it protected. But for now it's grand :D AngelOfSadness talk 22:48, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Hi! Thanks for reverting that edit on the Eric Emerson page (it's a few days old..I'm a little slow). Apologies
[edit]Hey, I'm sorry if you don't agree with what I wrote on the Winchester Thurston School page; but I'm simply drawing from my own experiences there. It really is the truth in my opinion. Do you attend there? If so, you have the right to judge whether I am right or wrong; and you might have seen a different side of the school. If not, I'll be happy to share many sad, sad stories with you to confirm that I was only writing the truth. - Iwillneverforgetwhatwtdidtome —Preceding unsigned comment added by Iwillneverforgetwhatwtdidtome (talk • contribs) 21:17, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- But you're editing the article in your Point of view which is a huge no-no. Articles must be based on fact not based on someones thoughts and memories about the subject. Articles must be written in a Neutral point of view because, just in case you've forgotten, this is a serious encylopedia not a sandbox to voice your thoughts. There's a huge difference between telling the truth through facts and telling the truth through opinion. Opinions are biased even if backed up. no matter what the latter isn't allowed on wikipedia I'm afraid. AngelOfSadness talk 21:25, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Warning was incorrect, although made in good faith. Removed by admin. -FisherQueen (Talk) 18:17, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ooops, my bad. I meant to give him a level three one there not a four. I use twinkle so sometimes I click the wrong level and most times I'm able to go back and undo it. I'll replace that level four warning with a level three. Thanks for telling me of my mistake. AngelOfSadness talk 22:31, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- I gave him a level two warning first, because the edits he was making was blantant vandalism. The VoA Bot gave him a second warning because he continued and then the last one was the level four as he still continued. But I was assuming bad faith because of this edit which was clearly not constructive thus leading to the level four warning. AngelOfSadness talk 22:36, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- I'd say it's pretty clear that his edits do not merit an assumption of good faith. AGF only applies in the absence of evidence to the contrary, which I would say his edits supply. Leebo T/C 22:37, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- Every one of his edits were blantant vandalism so of course he wasn't acting in good faith. (Check his contributions for evidence}. AngelOfSadness talk 22:45, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- Whatabouttheseand this were it clearly says "ANGELOFSADNESS IS A BI$@H" and this another article he edited. I'm really failing to see that he was in fact acting in good faith especially the personal attack he made at me which I've already pointed out. I've given him a level three warning for the edits he made late last night. Either way if it was a level 3 or a 4 warning he still would have gotten three warnings before getting blocked not banned(banned and blocked are two completely different things in case you have forgotten :D). Anyway not every single editor gets the whole set of warnings before getting blocked. A whole load of them get an "only warning" for making simliar edits.
- So why did I receive a (looks like a 2nd level) warning for giving an editor a 4-level warning after they got two other warnings? Unless you aren't counting the VoaBot warning but bot warnings are just as legitimate as user given warnings. I would have said ok, I deserved that warning for giving that first-time editor a level 4 warning based on an edit made without sourced material. But it's clear that this particlular editor wasn't making any good faith edits whatsoever. But also you said in the warning going to a fourth level warning right after a first level warning is a violation of assuming good faith. but I've read over AGF many times and it says absolutely nothing about skipping warnings but that's beside the point. And in that you said also after a first level warning, I never gave them a first level warning (if you go back and check to see that I gave them a caution(2nd level)), I gave them a second level because there was no good faith in the edit (check their first edit for this). Then the VoaBot gave the second warning(if Cluebot reverted the second edit, it would have given them a third level warning after seeing a second level already present on the page) for this edit. But as I count bot warnings, I gave them the third and final warning for this edit which an IP revertedso how am I in violation exactly? I'm not at least I don't think I am as I have presented all the evidence which proves my case. AngelOfSadness talk 17:25, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Your comments on my talk page
[edit]Thanks for your comments on my talk page. I was unaware of the 'revert three times within 24 hours' rule. The user constantly adding text to the Border Security Australia's Front Line Page has not provided references so therefore I reverted his additions. In future I will just remove material from his text that his racially biased and will leave the rest of his/her text in place. Thanks again for your advice. 220.101.115.176 00:42, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
- No problemo, I know that usually people find out about the "3 revert rule" when it's too late. But you should know that adding text to an article without sources is not vandalism. Types of vandalism are listed here. So instead of writing "reverted vandalism" in the edit summary, write "reverted unsourced content","reverted biased content" or "reverted unsourced biased content". Or better yet discuss the text with them and ask them for some sources of their information. Hopefully they should comply and give references for their edits. Happy Editing! - Thousands of artists have their music sold on iTunes and yet many of them don't have wikipedia entries, mainly because they are not notable enough to have their own article. WP:BAND outlines the critera that must be met in order to make an article about a band. Currently the band you have mentioned does not meet any of the critera listed in that link. Also wikipedia is not a crystal ball so making an article for the band because, according to you, that they are becoming famous would actually go against policy. Once their success meets the critera in the link, then you can create an article about them. But making one now would be pointless as it will only get deleted as the band do not meet the notability critera. AngelOfSadness talk 16:18, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

IP problems...
[edit]Hello,
Recently, i opened wikipedia for whatever reason and i came across a header saying i had a new message. This was quite a surprise, since i only come to wikipedia to look things up, but then i remembered how much Portuguese ISPs suck, and that i might be sharing an IP with someone else nearby. I do use wireless internet but it's quite secure. I was just wondering what sort of consequences my neighbor vandalizing a heavy metal group article might have on me. Any help is appreciated. (I realize you might be a little skeptical, but please notice i'm not asking for the ban to be removed, and i don't even like metal, i have no reason to lie and quite frankly don't care what happens to my neighbor). Please contact me at red.sky.utopia@hotmail.com , that's also an MSN-Messenger account.
By the way, the IP targeted was 81.20.249.4 . Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.20.249.4 (talk) 19:23, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- By the looks of it, it's a shared IP. Many people complain that they get warnings for vandalising even though they may not have ever edited wikipedia in their lives. What happens is that someone edits wikipedia not too constuctively (with the shared IP address), then they get a warning but by then they would have logged of and the IP address changes (gets shared around) so the next time somone looks up wikipedia and has that IP address the orange bar comes up notifing the new user of warnings about edits they didn't do. There isn't really a solution to stop the shared IP that I know of but it happens a lot around here. By the looks of it the IP address was blocked for 24 hours back in July, so you are free to edit wikipedia now. I'm pretty sure that's what happens with shared IP addresses and if you have any more questions you know where to find me. Happy Researching I guess :D AngelOfSadness talk 19:46, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Register an account with Wikipedia?
Again?
I don't think so. I'm already a regular user of quite some seniority - but that's when I'm logged in from my own computer instead of in the public computer room in the hotel where the convention is.
Thanks anyway, though. 24.201.231.175 20:35, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Ville = Pisces?
[edit]Since I've been getting into Astrology i've been learning about how pisces are and I was reading the lyrics to Sleepwalking Past Hope...and either someone has ville bday wrong on here and is is not a capricorn or sleepwalking past hope is about pisces ;].
"I unlit the light to embrace the dark To be near but not to turn into you my darling Forever we’re lost in our souls’ storm Reflections of each other’s faults"
Pisces are light and dark fish (usually the dark wins) and they mirror other people.
just something you might find interesting --NekoD 05:17, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- Are you sure he didn't write the song just to confuse us fans about the one of two things we are sure about. Next we'll be questioning that his name really is Ville. It could be Frederick for all we know :D. And where's the evidence saying he's Finnish I mean seriously. He's Finnish alright, the finns of a fish? I smell a conspiracy emerging. Run while you still have time!! :D AngelOfSadness talk 21:09, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- O I think that info about hats should be there ;], buuut. I'm done being a silly vandal for your page...at least for now....until I get bored again/more ammunition. haha. Last night I was reading an article and I just had to vandal it....Lemme quote "Unfortunately, the slaves on Jamaica refused to eat the breadfruit plant, so the main purpose of the expedition was ultimately fruitless (OHO A PUN I SEE HAR HAR HAR). " You can obviously see what I added :P --NekoD 20:02, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
- Tut tut, I don't remember reverting that so I'm guessing I didn't revert it or warn you. I had to get my userpage semi-protected today because of IP vandalism,(someone's really bored and has a dynamic IP(5 blocked IPs today) but don't worry you can still edit it. AngelOfSadness talk 20:07, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
- hehe the person that reverted it thankfully had a good sense of humor like me cause in the edit summary when they reverted it they put "And a good one at that". Also something I thought you might want to know. Since i've been getting into astrology thanks to my friends I've decided to go look for famous pisces musicians who have become famous to see if the trend of "We really dont become super famous/named major influential artists until AFTER we die." was true....and guess what. IT IS WOOT :D. Kurt Cobain, and Sublimes lead singer so far. Both have Heiron habits...sooo...I should probably NOT do heiron hahahaha. --NekoD 20:11, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
- It's not really true for The Beatles though. They were bigger than Jesus if you remember. AngelOfSadness talk 20:13, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
- Yes but the lead guitarist was not the lead singer of the band, it only goes for lead singers usually, also remember The Beatles were well known for using many mind altering drugs, many of them my favorites, such as LSD. I mean seriously there us a story in The Beatles Anthology about Harrison and a drug induced trip in one of his Mini Coopers. --Diaboli 23:47, 17 October 2007 (UTC) ps. Diaboli new name awesome
O and some Harrison quotes that pretty much show the embodiment of pisces thought/spirit.
"I wanted to be successful, not famous." This one doesn't go for me cause I have a strong drive to be famous :p. "There's high, and there's high, and to get really high - I mean so high that you can walk on the water, that high - that's where I'm going." "The purpose of life is to find out 'Who am I?', 'Why am I here?' and 'Where am I going?' " I identify with this so strongly. --Diaboli
- New name? It's cool :D. And now I will bring your attention to the one the only The almighty superhero drummer/frontman/guitarist/bass player who recorded the entire first FF album by himself. Is currenly still alive, to say influental is such an understatement to the point where it's almost insulting. Was the drummer of possibly one of the greatest bands ever to rock this very earth and you already mentioned a member of that band above. Has no history of drug use that I know of. And has a reputation of being the nicest guy in rock...hint, hint, hint(click the link :D). Enough said :D AngelOfSadness talk 16:00, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

- Seems like the problematique user has just been blocked and I didn't even file the report. There's a whole load off my shoulders. I gave them a warning for making obvious personal attacks and for some reason they were accusing other people of making personal attacks when they didn't and was trying to sign the warnings with my signature. Whats worse is that it is with editors I really get along with. Anyway, it's all over now. :D AngelOfSadness talk 23:09, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- Wow, I feel sorry for you! Anyway, I'm glad it's over too. Dang, I was just going to ask you to consider requesting adminship when I saw this page. Anyway, let me know when it's finally transcluded. :) *Cremepuff222* 23:13, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- That was back in July and I forgot to transcude it to the main page (damn sockpuppets(many genre changing sockpuppets might I add) and holidays distracted me). Anyway another editor approched me about becoming an admin just yesterday (See here for reasons to decline the adminship at this time :D). But I might try for adminship in a few months as I've read a lot of failed Rfa's and a good lot of them failed because a)the editor hasn't been editing for longer than six months b)Not enough Xfd experience c)Not much of a balance between vandal-fighting and article creation. So as you can see I have forseen the reasons why my Rfa if filed at this time would fail. But once I address these important factors I would delightfully accept a Rfa nomination. But it really really means a lot that you have that amount of faith in me. Really it does. :D AngelOfSadness talk 23:27, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

- Well, I think it's fairly important to know one's faults, fix them so they don't have to be told by others to fix them. Unfortunatley the latter happens a lot in Rfas but of course the feedback is helpful(hopefully it's not feedback from an angry vandal seeking revenge(those ones aren't very nice(but then again none of them are)). That's why I'll probably do an editor review first before a Rfa as once I know my faults in editing, I'll address them, learn from them and hopefully there shouldn't be problem with editing skills in the Rfa. Anyway, I'm off to bed, 'tis a quarter to one in the morning here. So for now I say "So long, farewell....". :D AngelOfSadness talk 23:46, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Henry Ford's birthplace information
[edit]I was born and raised in Dearborn, Michigan. Could you help Wikipedia understand please, that Greenfield Township, Michigan, which the person who wrote the article is wrong. Greenfield Township is present day Farmington Hills, Michigan where MRS.CLARE JANE FORD WAS BORN, NOT HENRY FORD. Mr. Ford was born in Springwells Township and I knows for a fact because I was friends with Mayor Joseph Karman's son Norbert Karman. Norbert's father was friends with Henry Ford and if you read Ford Richardson Bryan's book, THE FORDS OF DEARBORN (1987), who by the way was Henry Ford's Fourth Cousin, he states plainly that Mr. Ford was born in Springwells Township, not Greenfield Township.I am Clara Ford's Mother Martha Bench Bryant's fourth cousin, so I am aware of where Mr. and Mrs. Ford were buried. Thank you very much for your time and help if you could let Wikipedia know. Joel Hurley —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hurleyjoel (talk • contribs) 17:42, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
- You could just edit the article yourself, but you will have to provide independant third party sources. Or better yet, discuss the article with the editors who regularly edit the page. I, however, don't know anything about the people who you have mentioned so it would be better bringing this to their attention by posting a message on the article's talkpage or their own individual talkpages. Therefore: thank you for your great counter-vandalism work and your reports to WP:AIV ;) Just to let you know I'm confused with myself now. --Oxymoron83 22:33, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
- Ahh that's ok. I was very much confused at first aswell but I fully understand that it was a mix-up. No worries :D AngelOfSadness talk 15:44, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- He said it was the "Of" in our names that got him confused. I guess I can kinda see how that could happen lol. :) KnowledgeOfSelf | talk 17:48, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- That is true, not many users have a capitilized "Of" in their usernames especially ones that help out at WP:AIAV. AngelOfSadness talk 17:52, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

- Wow it really can and that's just your list of blocks today. AngelOfSadness talk 18:43, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- Not to mention the 15 or so reports that I turn down because the "vandal" hasn't made an edit in 16 hours, or 2 days, or 3 hours, or whatever. I think people spot vandalism in an article, revert it, see the user has been warned, but don't bother to look at the time stamps. Who knows? KnowledgeOfSelf | talk 19:05, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- Ahh I remember making similar mistakes in reports to AIAV when I first started vandal fighting. Memories ~wipes away an imaginary tear~. But thanks to Twinkle I haven't made a mistake like that since. :D AngelOfSadness talk 19:10, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- Aha I think Twinkle was causing some IP's to be reported as vandalism only accounts - which while some IP's might be, they shouldn't be blocked indef, I think there is a on going discussion about that on AIAV's talk page, but that's an other story. And about my block log from today, I have 622 (un)blocks so far this month, and 747 since my wikibreak ended on September 26, I think it might be my most ever in a month, and we still have 13 days left! I'll be shooting for 1000 total for this month! :) KnowledgeOfSelf | talk 19:32, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

Yeah Twinkle has that "tick the box" type of vandalism report submission. It always confused me when people reported IPs as vandalism only accounts as IPs aren't really accounts. An account has a username so I never ticked that box even for the most disruptive IP vandals. Anyway I hope you reach your target and when you do there might be a nice little surprise from me. But of course you'll have to tell me when you've reached the 1000 mark :D AngelOfSadness talk 19:40, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

- He has done so many similar edits it's not even funny anymore. Sure a once off would be funny but ten times on six different userpages/talkpages with a dynamic IP and little variation or time between them. It just makes the abuse reports easier to prove. - -Snicker- IF MORE THAN ONE WIKIPEDIAN SAID IT WAS TRUE IT MOST BE TRUE. LET THE TRUTHINESS REIGN Angel! --Diaboli 23:12, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
ps. I think I win a star to myself from myself for using in wikipedia linking to actually prove a valid point of what the guy was saying. What he said is a PRIME example of Truthiness --Diaboli 23:12, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
- Actually it was only one person and I don't care about their point of view of a band which they put all over the bands article. POVs are left at the website door before you enter :D AngelOfSadness talk 23:13, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
- Yes well I know it was only one person, the whole point of me saying that was to make reference to the fact that Steven Colbert is always talking about wikipedia and how if more than one person says it then it must be true. That and the fact that TRUTHINESS IS ALL THAT SHOULD MATTER. Though....your in Ireland so maybe you don't know the awesomeness of Steven Colbert --Diaboli 23:37, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
- I know nothing of that guy, but then again if I referenced something said by Lee Evans, Ardal O'Hanlon or Dermot Morgan chances are you wouldn't get it either. Maybe you might have heard of Tommy Tiernan(absolute legend in Ireland). Anway my point is, you only need the view of one person, get another to believe it and it continues on forever. Isn't thats how rumours get started. People make assumptions based on events, other people take this as fact and tells other people which it then spreads like a plague of frogs. And every single frog is muttering the assumptions of that one person to the moon. Until all that can be heard at night are those croaks that repeat lies into the ear of the world that is trying to sleep. So long story short, don't put assumptions on talkpages as if the parrot hears it, it will never shut up then the world can't go to sleep. AngelOfSadness talk 23:52, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
- You still confused the fuck out of me even with your attempt at a simplified version. But basically Steven Colbert has a satirical Show called The Colbert Report that talks about many political happenings in America today, fucking hilarious show usually. He popularized the word Truthiness which if you didn't read the links which I am thinking you didn't means "That something is right with out regards to facts, evidence, etc, because the person knows in their heart that it is right."" that and the fact of like I said Steven Colbert makes many references to Wikiality basically also what I was saying that if more than one person agrees it must be true. --Diaboli 00:01, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Then my plan worked perfectly. But I did review the links you provided but as it's one in the morning I can't exactly summarise what I've read in those articles. I can't barely stay awake as I'm writing this. Anway, my question is what if there was more than one person who believed the exact opposite of what the "more than one person" agrees with. I mean there can't be two truths, one of them has to be wrong. But majority always tends to win things like these and so their truth will be believed as the complete and truthful truth that no-one shall question until the earth crumbles up into a paper ball an spontanously combusts. AngelOfSadness talk 00:17, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Just get on msn I have HIM stuff to discuss with you.

[edit]I didn't mean to incorrectly modify User talk:SkyWalker. I am still fairly new and was trying to leave him a comment. The user has twice now incorrectly modified Soldier of Fortune: Payback to display a release in early 2008. While this information is true for Australia according to his references, it has no bearing on the US release date. Looking at this users page, he has a history of vandalism.
Also the Soldier of Fortune: Payback page currently displays as Soldier of Fortune: Pay Back, on the page's header. Is there a way to fix this and remove the spaces? thx. 00:09, 20 October 2007 (UTC) Jminterneia
- I wonder why he keeps undoing your edits. Hopefully that can get sorted out. I can fix the page header for you. It would need a page move and possibly a few redirects for the title but it isn't a problem. And welcome to wikipedia :D AngelOfSadness talk 00:28, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- It seems that page move can't be possible because of the redirects to the article. I'll try to find somway of fixing it but I don't think a page move is possible with the redirect in the way I'm afraid. AngelOfSadness talk 00:34, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- Zomg I know how to do something AngelOfSadness doesn't! O SNOES. I fixed the Soldier of Fortune: Payback page. Just a little trick I learned how to do when it comes to redirects......go to edit a page and change the url at the top to the page that has the redirect, voila =]. --Diaboli 02:12, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks but I couldn't figure it out because it was one in the morning here and I had been awake for twenty hours. I know how to do redirects but it would have been better to do a page move instead. Doing it the redirect way, doesn't carry the edit history of the original page that's why a pagemove is better, it moves the page, talkpage and edit history in one step. Redirects can only redirect the page and talkpage but not the edit history. Redirecting the page causes the edit history before the redirect not to show, so then the question of who first started the page and contributed to it significantly is now lost in a sea of redirects. I was trying to do a page move so that the edit history could be carried to the new location. AngelOfSadness talk 13:49, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

CASA of Maryland
[edit]Greetings,
Would you please review the entry for CASA of Maryland and hopefully remove the "speedy deletion" tag? It's been supported with verifiable outside sources and I believe it establishes notability. It will continue to be cleaned up and added to as events warrant. Regards, Thardman22 16:04, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
- The speedy deletion tag was removed by User:Malcolm on the 13th of October. But you are doing a great job with the article since I saw it last week. Keep up the great work AngelOfSadness talk 16:08, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
Reverting vandals
[edit]Sorry, I am only reverting that one user who is vandalising the article, adding airplay charts and on occasions deleting whole sections. Could you talk to that user? please --Jak3m 19:53, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
- Adding airplay charts to the article is not vandalism. According to the Music charts guidelines of the Manual of Style, airplay charts can be added to the charts table (They are used in examples of chart tables in the link). Of course I can talk to him about deleting the sourced content as he was deleting the entire chart table at one point. Deleting sourced content without a reason is vandalism, adding airplay charts aren't. He hasn't edited since I sent him the same message I sent you as both parties were breaking the 3RR rule. If he deletes the sourced content again, I will speak to him as what he's doing is deleting a vital part of the article which doesn't come across as very constructive behaviour. - The article does not assert the significance or notablity of the subject, thats why it's being deleted. Also creating an article on your friend would cause Conflict of interest as you are close to the subject mentioned in the article. The article won't be deleted if you can assert the notablity of the person with indepenant third party sources. If he's not notable and sources can't be found then the article will be deleted. AngelOfSadness talk 15:05, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

- This link is the wikipedia critera of notable people. Paris Hilton has appeared in the remake of House of Wax, and had a fairly successful album with numerous successful singles. All of the information has been backed up by independant third party sources. She's been the gossip columns for the last seven years because of her antics and she's the heiress to the Hilton empire. All of this makes her notable therefore there is the article about her. You didn't provide independant third party sources or explain why the subject is notable, that's why it was deleted. [edit]Now underground bands, 00 sYkO, can't make it onto Wikipedia? I think you just have it out for me personally. I think that underground bands should be notable.

- Actually I researched that particular band and found no results. If there's no results after researching on the internet then there's few sources to put into the article(e.g newspaper articles). No sources asserting the signifance of the subject in an article, then how can the subject be notable enough for their own wikipedia article. I mean there wasn't even an official website or MySpace of the band and that is what usually pops up first when researching bands. But if you have reliable sources about them it would be great. You have to understand that many underground bands don't have articles and no I have nothing against you or your edits. But if I see a new page being created, I usually check it to see if I can help make it more into a wikipedia article by adding sources and whatnot. But if sources can't be found on the subject in the article, then the article's verifiability is questioned. If another editor saw the articles they would have done the exact same thing as what I did. Both articles failed to assert notabilty therefore were deleted. If you have any more sources regarding Tom Pratt as three sources isn't really enough to back up the content in an article. Published sources would be most welcome with this as they would be considered independant third party sources. AngelOfSadness talk 18:58, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
Here are scans of an article in the newspaper.

National widely read newspaper? What newspapers are national? One?
It's from a New York newspaper. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Carsonogin (talk • contribs) 15:50, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

- Question about the sources: Is it a national widely-read paper? If so which one? AngelOfSadness talk 20:14, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- Yes like a national newspaper in New York would be the New York Times. But that newspaper is also shipped internationally. Do you have the names of the newspapers where these scans have been taken from? AngelOfSadness talk 16:11, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
You're welcome

I knew I thanked you before, a few days back, and I went to check what I had wrote so I wouldn't be repeating myself but lazy me gave up after searching through three days of comments :D. But really cheers for removing the vandalism off my discussion page :D. I rather have a personalised thank you than a template thank you. [edit]Thanks for reverting the vandalism on my user page. =) -- Gogo Dodo 22:06, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

<Slightly angry/personal attack removed by AngelOfSadness>
Hmmm some people might get mad at me for reputting that comment back on here but I see nothing wrong with it at all. We don't need to censor's free speech and such. Also the commenter made no derogatory/flamming/vandal type statements and was just expressing his opinion and since this is a user page and not an article i think he can do that....a little. If Angel thinks the comment is bad and wants to remove it then I will honor that decision but I agree with the anon, this is her page, let her decide. --Diaboli 00:02, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
- Actually the whole "I find your work on wikipedia is sad" type comments were very much an attack. Sure it contained no profanity but I still took offense towards it so that's why I removed it. If you look at the other comments they left in the page history, all of them weren't exactly friendly messages either. They didn't exactly ahere to the whole "Comment on content not contributors" part of the No attacks policy on any of their comments. AngelOfSadness talk 12:17, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

- I find it strange that the misguided souls have this idea of me being this hideous, overweight,Irish bum that apparently has no life except the one I have with my dozen cats and dolls and I record it all on a vlog. When in reality I'm an underweight HappyCamper, who has never been drunk in a day of her life, doesn't and has never owned a cat let alone a dozen of them and doesn't even want to know what a "vlog" is. Whereas you lovely people are the complete opposite to them, and put random compliments on my talkpage. By the way, I got my "Insults Hall Of Fame" page deleted because I wasn't bothered updating it everytime I was personally attacked. - He's on I think his tenth IP this week. I mean it's getting ridiculous. He returns saying I have no life and yet I'm not the one who has to constantly reset their modem just to harass people they have never met. So, you a vandal fighter now? If so you need the userboxes. Tis very useful indeed. Gives you the power to make page moves easy, as well as filing vandalism/bad usernames/sockpuppets reports. And then there's the rollbacks (a lot faster than simply undoing) and the almight list of warnings. You probably haven't been added to the list because you haven'r corrected the IP yet. Give him one warning and you're added onto his list like that*snaps fingers* ;D AngelOfSadness talk 21:38, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, please stay off of my user page. thanks bye.
- Hi no one owns their userpage, talkpage or articles. If someone refactors some else's comments on a talkpage well then it will be reverted(explains the last revert), if someone attacks other editors well they will be warned (explained second edit) and if there is copy violation on a talkpage or article well it will be removed( first edit reverted to remove copyrighted lyrics of Evanescence's My Immortal). I thought you would like to know. AngelOfSadness talk 23:44, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

- Sure the guy was indef blocked before your warning showed up on the talkpage. And woo I just got a userpage tribute to me. One editor kindly refactored my signature to AngelOfEmoness then created the userpage with "CUT CUT CUT". It's such a shame that my username being percieved as emo has been done to death. [edit]Yes, I copied your talk page notice onto my talk page (because that's exactly what I want to say) and I changed the font color and reworded. Would you mind? NHRHS2010 talk 02:10, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- No, I don't mind at all and I quite like the colour scheme of your talkpage notice. But your notice doesn't feature the /personal attacks part of my notice. I added that part in a few days back when it seemed that some misguided editors thought that making personal attacks wouldn't update the vandalism counter. But at least the personal attacks are now PG rated :D. AngelOfSadness talk 02:15, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
