Proposed deletion of Valentine Rock
[edit]The article Valentine Rock has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- A small town's music festival that doesn't meet the WP:GNG. Small community newspaper is not independent of said community's music fest.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. kelapstick (talk) 22:40, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Mmmmmmm? So, Workington is a 'small town'? So, our 'small community newspaper' being produced by UK Daily Newspaper of the Year 2009 is not good enough. OK. Haven't got time to say more (Andy V Byers (talk) 18:42, 29 November 2009 (UTC)) :-D)
Photos
[edit]Hi, just a note to ask whether you would contribute your photos to Wikimedia Commons in future. This enables all wikipedias to use the image, not just the English Wikipedia. Mjroots (talk) 15:03, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
Yes of course. Do you want me to go through them and tidy up the additional information first? Advice on what can and shouldn't be added to image explanations would be useful. It has been so quiet on my talk page I forgot it existed! (Andy V Byers (talk) 18:37, 29 November 2009 (UTC)) :-D
Workington North railway station
[edit]Are you in a position to get any photos of Workington North railway station while it is being built? Mjroots (talk) 19:45, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
Sorry missed this talk. Not got as yet, but will in next few days when the station opens. Only stop at the moment is Flimby. Have image of damaged northern section of Dock Bridge. Seems the end of Merchant's Quay was swept away in the storm. But bridge still standing but closed. (Andy V Byers (talk) 18:27, 29 November 2009 (UTC))

- I took the image of the front page of out local newspaper. Does my own photo of a front page infringe copyright status? Is it also an advert for the News & Star?
(Andy V Byers (talk) 21:31, 30 November 2009 (UTC))
- Yes, the image on the newspaper is copyrighted and you are essentialy reproducing that copyrighted image and claiming authorship without realising it. Jolly Ω Janner 19:29, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. Image source problem with File:Workington Station Emergency Train Times.JPG
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Workington Station Emergency Train Times.JPG.
This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.
While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.
If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 09:35, 17 February 2021 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --TheImaCow (talk) 09:35, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
