Courtesy notification:Speedy deletion nomination of AGN International

[edit]

A tag has been placed on AGN International requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. FYI your username

[edit]

I note that:

  • you have been editing AGN International,
  • your initials are AGN, and
  • the form of your username is very similar to that of the creator of that article, SarahBRowe.

If you are SarahBRowe, you need to know, first, that automated notices to the creator of that article will go to the SarahBRowe account, not to this one (I've given you a courtesy notice, above, but I did that manually) and, second, that using more than one account to appear to be two different people is not allowed at Wikipedia and can be cause for being blocked from editing. If you are SarahBRowe and have completely discontinued use of that account, then there is no problem, however. See here for details. Status and Advice

[edit]

As reviewing admin, I think the size of the company indicates at least some minimal importance, so it is not appropriate for speedy deletion. But the article absolutely needs references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases--and, of course, not taken from your website. I advise you to do this very quickly, before the article gets nominated for deletion by a regular deletion process.

In addition, the article would be stronger if it could be shown that some of the member firms and people associated with it are individually notable. Typically, experience here is that in the case of accounting firms this is very difficult to demonstrate by our standards; the only thing that works reliably besides substantial news coverage (which, alas, often comes only after some major problem becomes public), is national or international major awards, and they too need to be documented. For those people and firms for which you can not quickly find the material, remove the links, & restore them only as you can make the articles. DGG ( talk ) 22:57, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of AGN International for deletion

[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article AGN International, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/AGN International until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. TRANSPORTERMAN (TALK) 16:51, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
