Question from ScholarGray13 (14:33, 30 June 2024)

Some of my citations were marked "better citation needed" when quoting direct sources or interviews how can I better cite these references? Do I need to add a timestamp? How might I include that in the reference itself? --ScholarGray13 (talk) 14:33, 30 June 2024 (UTC)

Question from Tch42tch (17:33, 17 July 2024)

As my first attempt at editing ... I want to suggest that the following be added to two Wikipedia articles: the article on Joe Biden and the article on the 2024 United States presidential debate. CNN fact checker Daniel Dale reported that during the debate, President Biden made nine(9) false claims or misleading statements and Donald Trump made thirty(30) false claims or misleading statements. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgbIbS0Iigs Looking forward to hearing from you. --Tch42tch (talk) 17:34, 17 July 2024 (UTC)

Hi Panini, I'm having trouble creating a page. I assumed I'd have a template to fill out, but none looked like a Wikipedia page. Any help you can render would be appreciated! Lesley --LUMSpringvale (talk) 20:33, 17 July 2024 (UTC)

Question from 1337burrda on Hindibaba, Çüngüş (08:33, 3 August 2024)

Hello, I want to add a photo of my village to its wikipedia page, but apparently I need to make 10 edits before I can upload a picture. I don't know anything else to edit and I don't want to make random changes. --1337burrda (talk) 08:33, 3 August 2024 (UTC)

Capitalisation of "bronze medal"

Hi there, Ampimd. I'm curious: What's your rationale for capitalising "bronze medal" here? "Bronze medal" isn't a name, is it? Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 21:01, 9 August 2024 (UTC)

Hi Robby.is.on,
Thanks for your message! I capitalized "Bronze Medal" in the honours section because it refers to a specific and significant achievement in the context of the "Summer Olympics." Since "Summer Olympics" is a proper noun and the "Bronze Medal" is a recognized award within that event, I felt it was appropriate to capitalize it to emphasize its importance as an honour, therefore Summer Olympics Bronze Medal: 2024 rather than Summer Olympics bronze medal: 2024
I understand Wikipedia's guidelines typically prefer lowercase for general terms, but in this case, I aimed to highlight the official nature of the award. I appreciate your feedback and will keep it in mind for future edits.
Kind regards, Ampimd (talk) 12:14, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
Okay, thanks a lot for the explanation. Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 12:22, 10 August 2024 (UTC)

Question from Necessary Reparations (02:13, 14 August 2024)

HI. Thanks for being a mentor of Wikipedia. As this is my first edit I appreciate your suggestions, help and guidance. If you can do what I am presenting I want done, would appreciate you doing it with your experience and skills. I did not find in Wikipedia under Jackson Hill the Jackson Hill, who lived before during and after civil war in (little Dixie) Fayette Missouri. He died in 1919 a wealthy free (negro) African-American. He was reported to had belonged to W.I. Empsey. Mr. Jackson Hill left an estate more than $40,000. I discovered I could edit articles on Wikipedia so here I am. Besides including this Jackson Hill with any other lists of other Jackson Hills, the astounding achievement of survival, family and grand success of this American ex-slave merits his own page. I have only found the name W.I. Empsey. More both extensive research on both is needed to properly share their life experiences as part of American History in full articles. https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-kansas-city-sun-howard-county-mo/5005097/

Jackson Hill, an aged Negro, died at his home, north of Fayette, Saturday leaving an estate estimated at $40,000. He owned a farm containing 300 acres of good farming land. Hill was 80 years of age and a former slave. He spent his entire life in Howard County and had never been out side of the county. While a slave he belonged to W. I. Empsey. Hill worked hard and bought timber land and cleared it. He engaged in truck gardening, fruit raising and farming. (Monroe City Democrat)

Question from Ltrestaurantinc (19:24, 15 August 2024)

Hello, I have never edited anything on Wikipedia. How do I find articles to edit? It feels like other people have already edited a lot of articles and am worried I may not be able to find any to edit --Ltrestaurantinc (talk) 19:24, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
