How to get rollback privileges
Hi, if at all possible can you give me some advice into what I can do to get rollback status, for example how many edits should I make and what other actions are needed as well. Thanks. Creation7689 (talk) 17:21, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
- Go to Special:RecentChanges and make 50 or so reverts, either manually, using the undo function, or with the script, twinkle. Once you have done this, go to WP:PERM/R and make a request. Regards, FASTILYsock(TALK) 04:23, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the welcome. I reverted the page of "Fatherhood (TV Series)" to its January iteration because the content of Glenn Martin, DDS was put there (possible vandalism, or perhaps done as a mistake). Glenn Martin, DDS has little to no relation to the actual Fatherhood cartoon, hence the edit. Sorry if I wasn't able to take note of it early on. 112.201.209.184 (talk) 06:47, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
- Gotcha. - Amaury (talk) 06:53, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
Who are you please? Why are you changing my edits to the Cradley Town page? I am the First Team Coach Luke Edwards and know what is going on at the club so why are you changing my edits when you don't know what is going on there? Please stop editing things you know nothing about. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lukeedwards1981 (talk • contribs) 01:03, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

I've looked at Lukeedwards1981's edits. I also did a little digging and found a newspaper article confirming that the old manager did step down. Details are at User talk:Lukeedwards1981. I've also given a longer explanation on COI and invited him to ask me any questions he had. Also, just as a reminder, there is Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard, which specializes in situations like this. Anyway, let me know if there's anything else I can help you out with, here or otherwise. (P.S. Good luck with replacing the power supply. I've had to replace a cooling fan in a computer before. Not quite the same, but still, it's an adventure any time you go into the guts of the computer like that.) —C.Fred (talk) 02:16, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
Sorry about putting templates on users main page. It didn't seem like he was seeing them. This edit was flagged for VP:VAN by another admin earlier done by different user. Sorry for anything I did wrong, kind of new at this. I will leave this matter in your hands. Thank you! Armorbearer777 (talk) 08:01, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
- I appologized for adding a block out of order. My Bad. I leave it in your capable hands. Sorry.. Armorbearer777 (talk) 08:12, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
- That's okay. I was just letting you know. To your other question: If someone has a new message, a small, orange notification box will appear at the top of any page (excluding said talk page) until they check their talk page. - Amaury (talk) 08:15, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
- FYI - I am leaving this matter in your hands, but I see that Ihopeican143 is reverting your Undo's on Christian Metal My wife is holding me back from Undoing him again!! I wanted to leave it in your hands to Block this WP:VAN. Armorbearer777 (talk) 08:38, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
- There's nothing much more I can do. I don't want to get into an edit war. I've reported him, so now we just need to wait 'til an administrator decides what to do. - Amaury (talk) 08:47, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
- Just so you know both users should have been warned here. They were both engaging in an edit war. Ridernyc (talk) 13:57, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

Bear Pit BBQ
Sorry for the revert on Bear Pit BBQ, but when an article is blanked by its creator, it is subject to the Speedy Delete blanked tag. You can read about them here. --Morenooso (talk) 23:21, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, I know about speedy deletion criteria. I just didn't know it was the author. - Amaury (talk) 23:22, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
- Additionally, there is no need for talkbalks unless you are dealing with a novice Wikipedian editor. The standard convention is to keep a conversation on the same page it was started on. I put yours on my Watch pages in case you decided to reply. Please try to see what is going on an article before doing blind reverts. I had the page on Watch and would done the edit I did. A DB:blanked takes priority over a db:person. --Morenooso (talk) 23:30, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
I left for a few hours and suddenly not only is someone vandalizing Warped Tour and Warped Tour 2010 but calling me out as well. It's sad really. DX927 (talk) 04:28, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for reverting vandalism on User talk:Nick-D
Thanks also from me - though the irony of 23prootie 'banning' me for 'sock puppetry, not following a consensus and conspiracy' is rather funny. Nick-D (talk) 07:10, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for nominating me for the administrator role
The message below from Kww is a response to a message I left at User talk:Kww: Nominated.

User Carlos Colombia
Zhang, sometimes it helps to check the history of an editor you suspect of vandalism, especially when they have insulting messages at the top of their talk page. Consider this level 1 warning you left, and then click on the history of the page. ;) All the best, Drmies (talk) 18:51, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
User status box
Can I have some help with getting the user status to work. I have it already put in my page but all it says is that "creation7689 is somewhere". Thanks.Creation7689 (talk) 00:36, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

- You didn't create User:Creation7689/Status. Anyway, just type one of the following to the above link to change your status: [1] The most common ones you'll most likely use will be "online," "offline," and "away." - Amaury (talk) 00:56, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Yes, because having "Dan the Matt serra lover Hardy" and having "Nick Diaz" instead of "Nate Diaz" was much more constructive. Idiot. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.239.205.220 (talk) 04:03, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

I added a 3RR report on User:24.3.220.206, the one with all of "the honorific" changes. I won't touch any of those changes until the 3RR is decided. Thought I'd let you know so you don't waste time on a duplicate report, after you'd warned the IP. Shadowjams (talk) 06:11, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
