Speedy deletion nomination of Meclub

[edit]

Hello Alyciamoore,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Meclub for deletion, because it seems to be an promotion, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Σσς(Sigma) 05:20, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Meclub, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 05:34, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Meclub

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Meclub, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Way2veers 05:52, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not use Wikipedia to promote businesses, such as you did in the article Meclub. Wikipedia is not the "Yellow Pages". If you want to list a company for potential customers to find, please consider alternative outlets. Thank you. Way2veers 05:53, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Meclub. Vacation9 05:59, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

A tag has been placed on Meclub requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

Blocked

[edit]
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for persistent disruptive editing, as you did at Meclub. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  INeverCry 02:38, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Continuing to recreate this deleted article over and over is unacceptable. You were previously blocked for disruption of the deletion process on this same article, and so I've blocked you for a longer period. The problem with this article is that you've given no evidence of the subject's notability. This doesn't mean the subject isn't notable, it just means that if it is notable, you've not given evidence of this. If you plan on recreating this article in the future, you should add references to reliable sources that show the notability of this subject. INeverCry 02:45, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I would also note, after looking at the above warnings for promotion, that a short unreferenced article about a website/company can often give the impression of being an advertisement whether it is or not. INeverCry 02:57, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
