Hi, HueMan1. I see you noticed the removal of the Tagalog text in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao article, which I did due to the fact ethnic groups within said region do not speak it as their native language, and that retaining it in the article reinforces the unjust imposition of the language on its inhabitants. Having said that, I have reverted the article to when I last edited it, adding the edit summary this time. Hi, this is User:Hariboneagle927, I notice that you made the same edit for Bangsamoro. I've suspect this your reasoning above is the same for your edit on the Bangsamoro article which is understandable. Though as I said in the edit summary, it's one of the Filipino is one of the official languages of the country the region is a part of. Hariboneagle927 (talk) 15:08, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  - Hi, User:Hariboneagle927. I understand the basis of your statement stems from the provisions of the 1987 Constitution concerning the designation of official languages. However, regardless of how the language is termed in this particular document, "Filipino" is just Tagalog, only given another name to make the language palatable to non-Tagalog speakers, and to appeal to this fallacy of a standalone "Filipino language". Also to draw a parallel on my reasoning behind the edits, (Hindi) Hindustani is an official language of India and yet there are no Hindi texts on Wikipedia articles about non-Hindi speaking areas such as West Bengal and (especially) Tamil Nadu. — Alwyn Alšarifović Abubakarov (talk) 20:31, 14 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    - Since its not only me who dispute the nature of your edits, I invite you to participate in Wikiproject Philippines' talk page. It would be helpful to raise your side there so the community could reach a consensus on how to deal with local names for Philippine place names. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
